If you by any chance to get an opportunity to be near Royal Ontario Museum or to go shopping nearby please visit this very nice and atmospheric french restaurant. The foods are very tasty, the service is excellent and the location is... it's like you are sitting and travelling on a big ship (that's when you sitting on their terrace)... More

We took advantage of Summerlicious to order the $48 three-course prix fixed, with cocktails! The Decore of the restaurant and well as the service was really top notch. We sat on the patio but made sure to take a look inside the restaurant before we left. The regular menu seemed like it lack a lot of choice, so we were... More

We took advantage of Summerlicious to order the $48 three-course prix fixe, accompanied by a half-priced bottle of sauvignon blanc. The food -- I had the zucchini ricotta soup, rainbow trout, and blueberry pudding chomeur -- as well as the service was of high quality. The ambience was agreeable, but the music, mostly the thump-thump-thump favoured by hearing-impaired twenty-somethings, detracted... More

We stopped in to this bistro because it offered outside dining and the menu seemed good. We were impressed by the service yet disappointed by the selections from the menu. The only item our family agreed that was excellent was dessert. The atmosphere is nice, and the service was good but for what we paid - I wouldn't do it... More

Nice touch with the interior stained glass ceiling. I went for a business luncheon. The waiter seemed like he was in a rush to get our drinks and our lunch order by interrupting us constantly. I understand he's doing his job, but the restaurant wasn't busy nor did I think he was changing shifts. In summary food was okay.

Went for Summerlicious 2016 The Pros: 1. Beautiful Decor- the ceiling looks like a Tiffany lamp. There are some unique paintings and design elements throughout. There is a very nice first storey and second storey patio. The booths are beautiful. 2. Service - our waiter, a young man from Paris, was excellent. He always checked on us, made sure that... More

La Société has a great space, beautiful artwork and the design is stellar. It is in a prime location on Bloor St and it's fantastic for people watching. I had organized a lunch on a Sunday there with some of my family, hoping to sample the Summerlicious menu. I received a call the night before to confirm my reservation, at... More

Late Friday night walk-in in July and there was no wait! The food was very good. The Steak Frites was done as requested and the BC Salmon was heavenly. Fries with the steak were a little on the greasy and overly salted side, but not bad enough to send back. Wine list is excellent, but they still had a great... More

Went for lunch before a medical appointment nearby. Fantastic atmosphere, very friendly Gentleman guided me to the table, the menu listed fantastic dishes with "matching" prices. I ordered a green salad with BC Salmon. Tasted great. As dessert a Creme Brulee and an espresso. All together a great tasting lunch and beautiful setting.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
