Amazing sushi! I live in Chicago and was visiting Toronto for vacation when we came across Sushi Kai on Groupon when searching for dinner ideas. We have a lot of great sushi available in Chicago and this was the best sushi I've ever had. Fish was fresh. Rice was amazing. Prices cannot be beat. No rolls over $11 CAD. There... More

I live very nearby to this restaurant, and I'm so glad because it's great! I've been here a number of times for takeout and dine in (in the last three months), and I have yet to be disappointed. I typically prefer vegetarian food, but have had veg and chicken bento boxes, as well as a wide array of sushi. I... More

They have bento boxes that are quite enjoyable, sushi is fresh and well made and the service is usually good. I usually have used groupons when I go there which makes it also easier on the wallet. No complaints !

Great little Japanese Resturant east of Yonge Street in the north side of Eglinton. This family owned and operated Resturant offers great Sushi at very reasonable prices. The staff and owner are very pleasant and offer a friendly environment. If you're hungry and can't decide, the Bento boxes are a great choice. I highly recommend the special spicy Salmon Roll!

Delicious food; the place itself is however a bit weird. The decor is dated and the server forgot our drinks (he was all alone, though). Overall, the price was ok and the food was very good.

We have been going to Sushi Kae for about 3 years now. Food is almost always really good, the atmosphere is pleasant and you cannot beat the price. If you use a Groupon (which they seem to promote a lot), you can get $40.00 of sushi for a $20.00 Groupon. During the week it is fairly easy to get seated....Friday... More

This was our first visit to Sushi Kai, and we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is typical Japanese restaurant, and the menu is huge. We settled on the special combo for 2, for $55, and what a great treat that ended up being. Starting with a small salad and miso, we then had gyoza (6), followed by a very generous... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
