It's a restaurant I had heard good things about...but on those occasions we could go, I couldn't get a reservation. So when we were planning a dinner out on a Monday night, I snapped up a reservation. And we were not disappointed. The cheese and salumi plate was to die for...and we have rave reviews for the gnocchi, the branzino... More

Went there with two friends for early dinner. We ordered a variety of appetizers and our own main courses. Both the salads and the cold cut platters were very good. I ordered the Branzino, which was generous and cooked just right.

Enoteca Sociale was perfect in every way! Excellent service, great food and lovely ambiance. We started inside but told the Hostess we would prefer a table outside and she promised to move us as soon as one became available. As we were eating our mains, she told us that she could move us outside and within 2 minutes we were... More

Enoteca Sociale is a fabulous spot for dinner and well work the trek from downtown Toronto (it's a relatively short cab ride). The dining room is tastefully designed with faux brick on the walls, a large wood bar in the centre and plenty of large windows looking out onto the street. We found the food to be almost without fault.... More

Sitting under a huge maple tree, in the breeze, with the greatest service, quick and prompt. The place tends to be full of young and interesting people. The food? You could rave at each and every bite! Honestly, never been to a better restaurant in Toronto.

We had heard a lot about Enoteca Sociale and found it somewhat difficult to get a reservation but finally scored a table for four. The outside patio is nice but the decor and atmosphere inside leaves a lot to be desired. The menu is fairly limited including a very small and not very interesting wine list. Our food was quite... Had a wonderful meal, in great company. It was a beautiful night and we got to sit outside. Some of the items that we had were very tasty, such as Branzino, Beef Carpaccio, Tuna, Lamb Ragu Pasta etc. and the list goes on... I highly recommend this restaurant.

Our family had a birthday celebration in the downstairs private dining room. It was fantastic. You are seated at a beautiful wooden plank surrounded by the restaurant's wine cellar - the lighting and ambiance were perfect. There is the choice of a $45 five course meal or a $60 six course meal. Since we had three kids with us, we... More

It feels like authentic dining in Italy at Enotica Sociale - the food and the ambiance. The patio is beautiful. They have a good selection of wine. Their menu is carefully and thoughtfully planned. Everything we ordered just melts in your mouth delicious. We had the mushroom bruschetta and the gnocchi – the best we ever had. And their most... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
