I especially like the tandoori chicken and lamb saag. One of the best Indian restaurants that I have visited.

We were regulars here when we lived in Toronto. Now we make a point to go back whenever we visit. The food is made with such love and everything is the best version of that thing that we've ever had. The only downside is now all other Indian restaurants taste way less good in comparison to Savera.

The service is really very bad, the waiter just stands there. He didn't know how to speak as well. When the food was brought it, some of the dishes had stains of previous food on them, and when I pointed this out to the waiter, he just wiped it off in front of us with a napkin. Totally disgusting. And... More

There are now two Indian restaurants within walking distance of each other on St. Clair Avenue. I have been to both but Savera is, by far, the best. If you like paying high prices and like decorative plates (read, smaller but nicely presented) then go to the other restaurant. If you want quality and good taste at a more reasonable... More

Excellent Indian cooking at a great price, served up quick by friendly people that seem to like their jobs and the people enjoying their food. I've had butter chicken I've liked a bit more, but certainly not at this price, and certainly not so close to home. Truly one of our monthly "standards," we just keep coming back for more.

I have travelled through India quite a bit, enjoy the food and have experienced from 5 stars palaces to street food cuisine. Wherever I go outside of India, my perception is of course influenced by this local experience. I must say to my big surprise, outside of a part of town where the Indian community strive, Savera has really blown... More

Dropped in late last night for a quick bite on our way home. The service was quick and friendly, the food as good as on our previous two visits, and the portions so big that we've just had a very ample lunch from the leftovers!

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
