Never had arepas before but really enjoyed the crunchy corn breads and trying some of the fillings on offer...the chicken avocado ones particularly good. Very good value too with each one coming in at around ten dollars. One sufficient for small appetite and two for hungrier person.

Went to Arepa Cafe again but this time with my 16-year-old niece. I was craving some more arepa sandwiches and her visit was the perfect excuse. Food once again outstanding, so can vouch for a reliably tasty experience. Had the caprese arepa, and my niece had one with chicken and avocado (more like an excellent guacamole). Also had some veggie... More

My first Venezuelan meal and I loved it. I'm European so I'm not new to chorizo and similar foods. But the corn patty and the mix blended so well that I would highly recommend. Menu has a variety of choices. I had the chorizo and egg on owners suggestion and my cousin had the Black Bean, avocado, cheese and plantine... More

Three of us ate at Arepa the other night. Friendly, good service and yummy gluten free food. The food is prepared to not be spicy, and various sauces are brought to the table so that you can adjust as your taste buds dictate.

Walking west of Spadina on Queen on a steamy hot afternoon, I was looking for a gluten free, light dinner. Lots of greasy spoons and meat-laden menus features along the way. I passed Arepa Cafe while heading west, and noticed gluten free sandwiches. Finding nothing on my westward trek, I walked back to Arepa. The restaurant features minimalist tables and... More

My sandwich was so delicious! The meat was tender and the cornbread was so flavourful, I didn't think I could find such great South American food in Toronto! they also offer delivery through Foodora which is a plus!

great place for Arepas! awesome environment, great location, and real Venezuelan Cuisine. Every time I stop by I have "la sifrina arepa" and "teque~os" because it reminds me of home,.. its also super popular with the locals because of the yummy food and gluten free option.

Walking around Queen and Spadina looking for quick dinner. Tripadvisor App told us there was a Venezuelan restaurant that had some good reviews nearby so we decided to chance it. I've never been to South America so for me, Arepa was just a cute name for a restaurant... Well. Actually, arepa is also the restaurant's speciality. Arepa is a sort... More

Popped in while shopping on Queen. Waiter explained the food. Had house made lemonade, Arepa sampler and a bean Arepa. Filling! The flavours were so good and yet simple. Fresh sauces. Great soundtrack for our lunch. The people working there really care about this place. We'll be back! Take out too.

the cornmeal bun is incredibly flavourful, and my chicken and avocado sandwich was perfect - it was deliciously seasoned and so warm, I devoured it. It tasted like a little bit of South America!
