We heard about this restaurant through friends and BT, and our brunch experience was absolutely delightful! The food was fantastic. We began with their sumptuous fish cakes and mango salad—delicious! Our meals, which included ackee and saltfish, an oxtail sandwich, and chickpea dishes, were served...hot and enjoyed by everyone. The drinks were also wonderful. Our server was pleasant and attentive, and the ambiance was welcoming. The owners added a special touch by stopping by our table to greet us. We can’t wait to return for dinner! Highly recommended!More

So this experience was an unexpected surprise. My friends and I had plans to go to another restaurant on the Danforth. Then as I got out of the car, I heard someone singing. In the words of Nate Dogg, I said 'Hold up waaaaaaaaait.' Immediately...sent up a flare to the girl and said we're going here. The Staff was friendly and advised that they were booked solid. The Staff mentioned that a party of 6 was supposed to show up. If they're late, you can have the table (I found out later that they arrived 30 mins AFTER their reservation). We lucked out and got their table. Clearly, this was meant to be. We started off with the Pimento Dip with freshly made Plantain chips and bread. I lost my mind at this point and forgot where I was. I had the Sorrel Mojito and again, forgot where I was. This magical concoction of liquids was in a word was 'amazing.' The Cloves just made it that much more flavourful. Then move on to the Cajun Chicken Cesar Salad. This was a mountain of goodness topped with a lot of chicken. Fresh and delicious. There were a few birthdays happening. The Stevie Wonder 'Happy Birthday to Ya' version rang out. Love this place. Great atmosphere and wait Staff. One of the Sister Owners came by and asked us how our meals were. Exceptional! We will be back!!More

I've been to SugarKane a couple of times and it is absolutely worth the time. Excellent cocktails (that rum punch!) set the tone for the excellent food options. Last night my wife had the Jerk Chicken Fettuccine and I had the Curry Goat Bowl. Both...were fantastic. Our server was friendly and helpful, the owner came by our table to check in on us, the ambiance was relaxed and cheerful. This place is a jewel on the Danforth.More

Absolutely delicious food here! It's hard to find a sit down Caribbean restaurant and SugarKane brings authenticity and class together on the Danforth. The place is fairly small so make a reservation!

I visited this restaurant as a kick off to the summer patio experience and wasn't disappointed (except the rain put a damper the patio). I ate in my car and was not disappointed. The jerk chicken was delicious and not dry. The rice and peas...was perfect and with the right amount of spice. The wings.......the wings *drool*. Highly recommend Sugarkane and looking forward to return again to get a dose of some Jamaican cuisine. Ty!More

Okay wow....blackened salmon was on point!!!! Extremely well seasoned food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Got the jambalaya and corn soup too and it was so so delicious!!! Spicy but the kind you can enjoy. Best soup in the city hands down. We also got the chicken and...waffles sliders and the chicken was cooked so well!! As an avid cajun/creole food lover, this has to be top 5 in Toronto. A MUST GO TRY!!!More

I came to Sugarkane to celebrate my best friends 30th birthday. It’s just her vibe! Live music, delicious Caribbean food — we had an incredible time! We had the chicken and waffle sliders & jerk chicken fettuccine. We also had a couple of drinks and...they sang her happy birthday at the end as well. Would absolutely visit again, thank you so much for your hospitality and for creating an atmosphere that really made us feel like we were on holiday during such a strange time in our lives. We had a party of 6 attend for my cousin's birthday. We were greeted by our wonderful server Lucas. From start to finish, the staff were wonderful and very attentive. The food was impeccable. I personally ordered the salt fish bakes for my appetizer and...they were phenomenal, just the right amount of pepper. My main dish was the Wray & Nephew bbq chicken with the Caribbean fried rice. I loved that the meal was piping hot and flavourful. The sorrel mojito was to die for. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening, we will definitely be back. For those of you pondering on whether or not you should try Sugarkane Restaurant, let me be the first to tell you that you will not be disappointed!More

Food was delicious! I had the fish cakes. Love the dipping sauce. I had the jerk chicken and shrimp Linguine. Great portion. Really enjoyed it. The service was excellent. The owner came to check on us and the waitresses all wear a beautiful flower on...their ears as part of their signature look. Lovely art in the location as well. I will definitely go back.
