I've been to this location several times before and enjoyed it. But last night was a terrible experience. Issues included both service and food. It wasn't just our server: everyone working there looked like it was their first day on the job. Five or six times we had food and drinks brought to the table that were for another table.... More

We decided to being friends visiting us from Germany who were a bit disappointed with the variety of beer toronto had to offer, well we are glad we did because The bier market was a game changer for us. The friendly service was a added plus! Definitely recommend this place to everyone, be sure to try their sunday brunch! Cheers

Very crowdy, make sure you make reservations, otherwise no table. We ended up inside although booked a table on the patio, shame... Too noisy inside. Food is ok. Belgian beer is Always good.

The next time I want overpriced cheese soup, I'll go back here and order the overpriced classic cheese fondue. But then, I'll feel ill all day from the additives. Seriously, this kitchen has no idea about the proper consistency of fondue. The rest of the food was fine, the wait staff undertrained, the beer list robust, but I can't forgive... More

Just had a fab lunch at Bier Market. Sat outside where there are loads of tables. Located right on the corner of Portland and King, the outside patio makes for great people watching. I had the hamburger and fried, while my friend had the salad. I had expected normal pub food where everything is deep fried. But Bier Market has... More

The restaurant has a great outdoor patio. They have a huge selection of beers, both draft and bottled. The food was a disappointment. It is way overpriced considering the quality and the portion sizes. The service was quite slow.

Very cool atmosphere. Over 100 beers on tap. Palm, an import from Belgium was incredible. Trying to find someone locally that sales Palm. Great menu and everyone in the group was pleased with the food.

My friend recommended we meet there, as we both have a taste for good beer. I got there first and ordered a local brew that was quite tasty! When my friend arrived, we ordered three small plates to share - which was plenty of food for the two of us. The food was well presented and very tasty. I would... More

I visit Toronto every summer and the "Bier Markt" is one of the places I like to visit as soon as I arrive. Being from Germany, I really enjoy the selection of various beers from all over the world. Servers are friendly and seem to have good knowledge of their beer assortment. The food is pretty basic but tasty and... More

We only cook from scratch, making sure every dish is expertly crafted to complement the perfect Bier. We also have more than 150 Biers from over 30 countries, calling us Bier enthusiasts is an understatement. We respect the brew, and that means great food to go along with it.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
