I've had breakfast here quite a few times over the last couple of years. I am usually on business trips when I eat here. The service is friendly and fast.

If you're looking for a quick simple breakfast or coffee at a great price then this is the place to go. The staff was friendly and the service was fast and efficient. 2 coffee, 1 5 item breakfast special and an English muffin w/peanut butter was $8.00 taxes in!

While staying at Metropolitan Hotel on Chestnut Street, we thought we would like to try some local coffee shop for coffee & donuts. We noticed a very small coffee shop next to a barber place on Bay Street and Dundas and were amazed that the place was quite full. And so many choices for breakfast! We had the 3 eggs... More

I had breakfast with bacon and egg. Concerning the food I expected a bit more but for the prize it was acceptable. The service was standard, the Lady understood what I wanted and brought me the food 5min later.

The Daily Brew - Bay Street - near the corner of Bay and Dundas Street - is a no frill, very small, wonderful restaurant. We recently stayed at the Downtown Marriott Eaton Center and had read another TA tip on this restaurant. For a very inexpensive and filling breakfast this is where to go. From the front door of the... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
