Picked the place for a reunion dinner for a group of old friends. Waiter/owner brought the wrong bottle of wine. When we pointed out that this was not what we wanted, he corrected us and said "this is better..." When he brought our main course, my girlfriend pointed out that this was not what she ordered, and again, the owner... More

This is a lovely restaurant in Etobicoke that serves great food. It's like being in a small village in Italy. Great wines and delicious food.

We visited this restaurant twice during a one-week trip to Toronto. The first was on a Thursday night, the second on a Monday. The food was definitely better on the Thursday and I don't know whether this is because they use a different chef on different days or whether there is another factor involved. I'd rate the food on the... More

My gf found this place and the best part is that it's just minutes from home! Liked the atmosphere and the food was great. I had the seafood risotto and requested no mussels. No problem! Service was attentive and friendly. May be going back there this weekend.

Been here many times and each time has been lovely. Relaxed, friendly, and cozy eating experience - from the tasty, generous portions of food to the service, which is always genuinely friendly. Feels more like eating at your family's house than a restaurant. Try the grilled calamari....yum!

Had lunch with a couple ladies and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Squash soup was to die for. There is al fresco available. Small and quaint. Service fabulous and didn't rush us but available when we were ready. Carmela was fabulous and friendly. We all had 3 course lunch special. Great choices.

We went' with a couple of friend and my 3 year old, the place is small and casual so it is easy to keep an eye on the little ones. The food is nothing exceptional, but is above average, always fresh and carefully prepared.

Anchored by historic Montgomery Inn at Islington, the streetscape just to the west along Dundas seems to be taking on life totally at odds with the Dundas speedway just to the east. Lots of unique shops and restaurants, including this one, which caught the eyes of the three of us. We were welcomed in right away, shown to a nice... More

At the recommendation of a friend I decided to give Village Trattoria a try. This isn't a fancy restaurant but it's pleasant and comfortable. Kindof like your favourite shoes. Same applies for the food, kindof like "Mama's in the kitchen". With my Mama, that would mean tasty food that will leave you satisfied. Not amazing, but certainly tasty and enjoyable.... More
