Though only my partner had a traditional "eggs and toast" breakfast, and I had coffee, I enjoyed it with total delight!

The food was certainly very good, but not great or memorable. The chef owner's TV pesonna led me to have much higher expectations. Hot and sour soup good but I've had better at 1/3 the price. Shrimp was good. Very professional service. Seating a bit uncomfortable and atmosphere not trendy enough for the high price of a meal.

Very good Chinese food but I was expecting more from the reputation of the famous chef Sursur. I enjoyed it, but with his TV persona I was expecting something memorable.

Was a nice café to have breakfast and there were lots of windows so it was nice and bright, even on a cloudy day. Everything you needed to eat and drink for breakfast.

Convenient if you are staying at the Soho Metropolitan Hotel. Great chicken club sandwich, with lots of meat and plenty of taste and fries. But pricey. If we were not on holiday, we would have ignored the wine. Not great on atmosphere. Friendly helpful staff.

I ordered eggs benedict with salmon and a spinach salad. Really good and the highlight of the visit. Along with the eggs I had a coffee and a Bloody Caesar. The Caesar was a funny colour and tasted weak. It needed a straw and better decoration, it just had a honking great piece of celery in it. I had no... More

Sursur Lee has opened up a wonderful place called Luckee in the SOHO Hotel. All the cuisine features dishes from various parts of China and Taiwan. Upon entering the establishment your immediately greeted by the hostess and you have a choice of going to the lounge and bar or you can go to the dining area. The décor is tastefully... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
