After hearing family and friends rave about this place - me and my husband decided to check out what all the fuss was about so we decided to make reservations for our anniversary. I have to say we were sorry that we hadn't gone sooner! We had read previous reviews that had raved about the Jacob Cesar salad prepared tabled... More

My experience at Jacobs & Co. was quite amazing from the start. From the staff at the front, to the server, to of course the food. Our server Jay was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and everything he recommended was perfect. We ordered four different types of steaks to share and all four were different in their own... More

Jacobs is a great restaurant with great cuts of meat and fantastic service, however, when your whiskey sours made with your entry level bourbon are $15 dollars plus tax, and your cheapest GLASS of wine is $19 dollars plus tax, I've got an issue with that. I know it's Toronto, and it's uppity, and its got to go along with... More

The experience here is different then what you will find at any other reputable steakhouse in Toronto. I went for a family dinner and it was an amazing meal. From the bread to the steaks. We ordered the Caesar salad to start which was great, but not as creamy as the one the David Duncan makes but still really great.... More

I have been to Jacobs once before for a business event. This was my second time. No doubt the service was terrific. The wait staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The food was good but definitely not worth the price. I would say it is a very average and very pricey meal. I also felt that while the wine list was... More

Mediocre steak, food was average. Pricey for the quality. Don't know if it's cause we were very unlucky or that's their usual standard. But will not recommend splurging your money here. Better off going to the Keg steakhouse with your money.

Went to celebrate a birthday, 5 people. Our server was awesome. They ask you if you want to have your steak cut up for you, one of us said no thank you, well they brought it out sliced. The manager came over and said that it would take another 20 minutes to make a new one, none apologetic, (never had... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
