Food was worth 4 points, but chef knocked off one. Food was good. My wife's chicken was excellent, my beef medallion special was good, sauce on the salty side. The side on both our dishes were excellent. Bread was also very good. Creme Brulee was good. The onion soup... I could tell they use very good ingredients, but it was... More

Worst experience ever. Good food one waitress overworked so we waited 45 mins for apps. Not her fault. Worst thing was chef yelling at her and swearing in French at her. When confronted by another paying customer who was disgusted at how he was treating the waitress. Chef yelled at her and told it was none of her business. 3... More

Don't go here unless you can put up with a mouthy swearing chef with no respect for others. We went out for a nice evening out at a nice restaurant and we were met with a mouthy, swearing chef. And the fact that we were served after other people arrived, didn't help. We have never seen this before! The chef... More

Very good French cuisine. The Onion Soup we had was really great. I really enjoyed the Mussels with Blue Cheese; it was both very different and good. Good selection of wine to go with your meal. Very good service. Ideal for couples and small groups. Overall, a fine dining experience.

Warm, lively place for dinner. Chatted with the neighbouring table and thought the food was delicious. Everything was prepared with fresh ingredients and nicely presented. we have already booked a follow up visit.

First time there and I was impressed with the personal touch from Epee (the host), he greeted me by name with a smile and a handshake. I ordered the salmon which was excellent and my girlfriend had the chicken supreme which she enjoyed very much! ... I will definitely be returning. .. btw ... I used a Travelzoo voucher and... More

It was our first time to Mogette, for a latish dinner. I had the mussels with blue cheese and frites, mostly because that was an interesting concept. And it was very nicely done...subtle cheeese flavour and great bistro frites. My dinner companion had chicken supreme, which she quite liked. The service was enthusiastic, but a bit unskilled. Wines were pretty... More

I went to Mogette Bistro today for lunch and had their Rainbow Trout and it was OMG delicious. Never had this type of fish before but I was assured I would love it and since I am trying to eat healthy I said okay and trusted their suggestion. I am so glad I listened t them. I think I got... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
