We were first greeted by a beautiful and sweet hostess name Andrea ;0) She just adored my 6 year old. Large menu - I picked the salmon benny and it was DELICIOUS! My husband got french toast and eggs and they were wonderful. My son got a grilled cheese. Prompt service..could eat here everyday. Visiting from Delaware..we will be back!

My friend loves breakfast so we went here for lunch. The crowd was moderate but not huge. You can order from any part of the menu any time of day. The food is good and the portions are big. Wait time is about 10 - 15 minutes. The sangria is nice and is made with freshly squeezed juice! I've never... More

Down in Toronto for a quick getaway and needed a breakfast in the morning. We had been to an Eggspectation in Ottawa before and decided to try the Toronto location. Not disappointed! Very clean and inviting. The menu was varied and looked delicious. My wife had Belgian Waffles Pagé and I had the American breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, ham,... More

Early on Easter Sunday the welcome was warm and the atmosphere, inviting. The huge menu has the usual classics but many unique dishes. Avocado with poached eggs inside and a huge stack of pancakes hit the spot. Very friendly service. Best place for breakfast in downtown Toronto.

If you want a big breakfast or brunch in Toronto this is your place!! Very big portions but all with potatoes and fruit! Delicious food. Service is great. Maybe a little bit busy so they may ask you to wait for 20-30 minutes, however there are plenty of tables and it moves quick. Worth the wait! They also have juices... More

Looking through TripAdvisor came across the reviews for eggspectation and saw they were great. First the decor and the ambience was awesome! Andrea the hostess was so friendly and accommodating for our party of 6. The service for both days was phenomenal, our cups were never empty, whether water or coffee. The food was so delicious we had to go... More

If you like eggs, then this is the place to go for breakfast. I love everything on the menu, and you always know you get a consistantly good breakfast. Love their omlettes.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
