Big, hearty veggie burger! And the onion rings are the best in town, no joke.

Tried the veggie burger - very large portion but pretty ordinary. Nothing special at all but it does smell and look good.

Toronto continues to have an explosion of "Gourmet" burger joints pop up throughout Toronto. Some “one off's”, some “chains”. In the case of The Big Smoke, it's a chain, but one which has been designed quite well. Many great burger options as well as toppings. Their fries are quite good too. Definitely a must stop if you're like me and... More

What can one say but wow, wow and wow. We tried this place by accident. We were staying at the delightful King Edward across the street and wanted something for a lighter lunch. The first bite of,the burger from both of us, had us saying how wonderful the taste was. This is by far the best burger we have ever... More

The thing I love about this place is that the burgers are fresh. If you are really craving that greasy burger and fries, at least get it here! They are made to order and there are many different kinds of burgers. I personally love their Poutine as well!

If people think this is a great burger, they have not had a great burger. It was OK. The onion rings were better. I wouldn't go out of my way.

Big Smoke Burger has one of the tastiest burgers I've had in my life! It's not a gourmet burger, but as far as quick-service goes, it's definitely incredible. The burgers are juicy and topped with quality condiments/veggies. (Their guacamole and rosemary mayo is to die for!) The servers are quick and accurate and for being as incredibly busy as Big... Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
