Good food and nice beer selection

Good tasting dinner, nice vegetarian options. They didn't mind when we started moving tables and chairs to get everyone together! Good seating options, from noisy-at-the-bar seats, to quieter corners for talkers.

I love the Madhouse! They have a great selection of beer and other mixed drinks. Their food is great but furthermore their steak and goat cheese salad is to die for!. I love the atmosphere here. You can have business men and hippies and everything in between mingling in this place like it's the norm!

Dropped by for a quick beer and a bite. The beer was good, the pita platter with dips was below average. The tzatziki sauce was bland, the hummus was dry and had a lemon overkill and the other sauce was sour cream and salsa mixed together it seemed. Pita's were nicely grilled. The atmosphere was nice and the service was... More

Everyone likes to be appreciated and taken care of. This place is our local version of "cheers". It has exceeded the mark in making people feel welcome ever since its inception. Thank you for making all your many patrons feel at home!

Had a burger on a limited menu. The Asian slaw was good, burger charred. It is typical smalltown bar and grill with nothing special. No refills on water soda. Save your money go some place else. They serve that horrid tilapia for fish and chips so don't even go there for fish.

I went to the Madhouse for dinner with a few colleagues. I ordered the steak and goat cheese salad which was okay. The steak came out chewy. My girlfriend ordered a quesadilla which was really fantastic. My business partner ordered Mussels which had a nice Cajun sauce and turned out exceptional. Unfortunately our waitress was behind on waters and our... More

Friendly service, great food and price. Many seating options. No change table for kids but they are very supportive if you bring in a child. Always a must when visiting Thunder Bay!

Stopped by here a couple of times to grab a beer and some appies. The coconut shrimp are amazing as are many of the other items on the menu. Large selection of beers on tap and a good choice of wines as well. It is a local hangout and everyone seems to have a great time. Will definitely visit again... More

I have been a regular here for years so it's past due for me to say why ..... Laid-back atmosphere ( feels like I'm at a friend's home , not a public house ), good pub grub from a menu that occasionally gets changes, great location , background music is played at an appropriately LOW volume , genial staff ..... This is one of those places that when you don't want to cook, need a place to kill some time, or can't decide what you're feeling like, you'll always end up there. Price points are great for what you get; fresh ingredients, unique dishes, friendly service, and above par plating. Our favourite dishes inclue the fish tacos, the mussels, and... More
