We've gone to Gongas for breakfast on and off for many years. Off happens because they go through phases of really bad service. This morning is the end. We were turned away from an open table for four because we were only two. Had one more been with us, we'd have been seated. For the sake of the price of... More

We ate here after having heard the locals telling us about it. Our waitress was friendly and the menu had a great selection. I ordered a monster club which was monstrous. I opted for the mashed potatoes, evidently a mistake. I enjoyed the club (saved half of it) however the cheese was a kraft single (or equivalent) and the bun... More

Was in Sudbury to get some work done, promised the grand son a burger from here because I had told him about the Gonga burger. So asked to have them wrapped in foil for the 2 hour drive home. Service was efficient and fast, got home burgers were still warm, fries were cool but easy to reheat. Burgers were a... More

I ordered 2 eggs scrambled, crispy bacon, grilled homefries with onions and white toast. The only thing properly cooked was the toast. The eggs were an overcooked omelet with nothing in it, the bacon had been deep fried, the homefries were mushy and the onions were raw. I don't know why I keep coming here, I'm never impressed and this... More

Stopped here for breakfast on the way from Winnipeg to Ottawa. We found it very clean, our waitress was friendly and efficient. The food was what we expected for a family style diner type restaurant. Fresh and hot and filling at reasonable prices.

Gongas... We found 28$ expensive for a couple sandwiches. My husbands still complaining about it Lol. The sandwiches were fine but nothing memorable. Families really seem to like it for breakfast but we found it pricey for regular fare.

Nothing overly special about Gongas. Food is good, it's not a fancy breakfast place but it's affordable and fast. I've been there a few times and I'll go there in the future.
