My wife and I are Stratford residents and while wandering the downtown today we dropped into Keystone for a light lunch. I enjoyed a light calamari dish while my wife tried the locally sourced greens. Both were excellent! The menu and friendly engaging service are reflective of Keystone's new owners,a young couple recently relocated to Stratford from Inuvit. The menu... More

The Keystone has reopened, and is an improvement on the original. More spacious, less of a crowded feeling, and very nicely decorated. Ate here for lunch, and the party tried the gazpacho (which probably won't be what you are thinking it will be, as it is more of a salsa than a soup, but very tasty, with a bit of... More

Our party of 4 had lunch on the patio. We had just come from MacIntosh farms so we were eager to try the farm beef. We were not disappointed. The steak/ frites was delicious as was the burger. We were treated to an explanation (by our waitress) about the difference between a "pomme frite" and french fries - none of... More

Such a treat to find, sweet patio on a hot evening. Lovely, friendly staff who made the experience so enjoyable. Great and varied menu . . . The charcuterie is amazing, la pièce de resistance, every morsel a treat, the duck pâté, wood smoked duck breast, rhubarb compote . . . And more. Beautiful presentation.

Run, don't walk to the newly-imagined and renovated Keystone Alley Cafe. Atmosphere is warm and friendly. Barb the hostess puts everyone at ease. The menu is imaginative and clever. And the food absolutely delicious. Service great as well. Had a wonderful experience not just a wonderful meal. This place deserves to be in the Stratford Ontario Top Ten if not... More

Love the quaint patio and personality offered by this restaurant. Service and management made the experience comfortable and friendly. Our table had 4 different lunch entrees all of with were tasty and unique. Portion size was perfect. I would recommend for a business lunch or a casual gathering with friends and family.

Wow! Some people can not handle change! We love the Keystone and have been going for years. We found out the previous owners have retired and new owners have taken their place. Some things have to change people, be willing to accept that things are not the exact same and give it a try and you will not be disappointed.... More

My husband and I recently dined here, under the new management, for my birthday and it was one of the best experiences we have had in a long time. We started our meal with the Ploughman's Platter which is an impressive spread. I had the Lasagna Roll and my husband had the Brisket both of which were delicious with great... More

I had been forewarned that the previous owners had retired after decades of running what was arguably the best restaurant in Stratford. It was one of our Stratford favorites and I'm told it was loved by locals and tourists alike. We knew we were going to return and were hopeful that the magic of the previous Keystone would still be... More

Description
For three decades The Keystone Alley Café has continually evolved, from its start as a small coffee shop into the popular casual fine dining restaurant that you see today. The Keystone Alley Cafe was named after the well-known Keystone Bakery located on these premises earlier. The 'alley' in the current name describes the area adjacent to the restaurant used for patio dining in the summer months. The Keystone Alley Cafe strives to provide a family style menu of fresh, bold flavoured foods, while supporting locally and sustainably. Over the years, many improvements have been made, including the addition of the "Key'd Inn", a spacious two bedroom suite rental situated above the restaurant.
