I have been going to the Keystone for years as it has by far the best patio in town. I am really excited about the new ownership as they have made some great changes. I had the zucchini spaghetti which was delicious and I absolutely recommend it. I had the carrot cake for dessert and it lived up to the... More

I showed up at 5 pm for dinner on a Sunday afternoon, was seen to a nice table at the front of the restaurant. Ordered gazpacho and mussels special - no mussels. No point in having a special for dinner if you are sold out at 5 pm. Gazpacho was good, very small serving. Ordered charcuterie for 2 (for 1),... More

We were looking forward to a nice meal based on past reviews of the restaurant. Normally I would give a restaurant a pass upon a first visit if it was not what I expected, however, the owner of the nice B&B where we stayed said other guests were recently disappointed as well. We came on a Tuesday in August around... More

Wing Commander has lived the history of Stratford restaurants. This genesis includes cooking classes that preceded the Chef school and the Nut Club that starting the roll to Keystone. Nut Club: incredible burgs and fries along with the original famous Caesar Salad concoction that morphed into a Chef School standard. In a long past time ago, Keystone ownership split and... More

Keystone was one of my favourite places to eat anywhere. Alas it has recently changed hands and you know that often means it is not as good as it was before. However the rebirth of the Keystone is a very happy event. We have been there several times since it has reopened and the food while very different now is... More

My regular Stratford show-mate and I have been enjoying our junkets to the Stratford festival. We take the Stratford bus, arrive there in time for a nice lunch where in the vicins of our theatre, see a show, and then jump on the bus to take us back to Toronto, where we usually arrive around seven. I had been to... More

I 'm so happy this restaurant has reopened and the new owners are doing a great job. Anthony Jordaan from South Africa has a gentle accent that could melt butter. He is friendly, attentive and works hard helping his staff to serve, and because of his heritage, biltong is part of the Ploughman's Lunch platter for two. Even if you're... More

We found great service and mouth watering food and drink through and through at Keystone! Sitting in the shaded patio for dinner was excellent. Diverse wine menu of bottles you won't find elsewhere, priced reasonably. Be sure to save yourself for dessert as they have a delectable selection of in-house made ice creams and other desserts (I had the carrot... More

We had an amazing dinner and experience at the Keystone Alley. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed a delicious meal in July for our anniversary. The staff treated us so well we cannot wait to go back! The food (we had the chicken and the beef) was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. Kim and her husband are... More

Went to the Keystone Alley Cafe this evening for dinner post theatre. Sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the loveliest meal & service. From the appetizers, to the drinks, our main course, the desert & fabulous teas, everything tasted amazing & came out so well presented on our plates. The staff were accommodating, friendly & went above and beyond... More

Description
For three decades The Keystone Alley Café has continually evolved, from its start as a small coffee shop into the popular casual fine dining restaurant that you see today. The Keystone Alley Cafe was named after the well-known Keystone Bakery located on these premises earlier. The 'alley' in the current name describes the area adjacent to the restaurant used for patio dining in the summer months. The Keystone Alley Cafe strives to provide a family style menu of fresh, bold flavoured foods, while supporting locally and sustainably. Over the years, many improvements have been made, including the addition of the "Key'd Inn", a spacious two bedroom suite rental situated above the restaurant.
