Balzacs is right downtown- a great stop for a rest between shopping and theatre. They roast their own coffee beans and the coffee is wonderful!

I love Balzac's coffee and also they do a great lemon tart. It seems like a popular hangout for locals and is a very pleasant place to while away an hour reading or people watching.

I absolutely love Balzacs and have coffee there at least twice a week. The perisian mist tea is the best thing I've ever tasted.

Although I've lived in the area for years, I only stopped in for the first time a few weeks ago. Always eager to try something new, I tried the Cafe Canadien, a latte with real maple syrup used as sweetening. It was really delicious - not just the maple syrup, but the quality of the coffee. I didn't get to... More

A great place to sit and watch the world go by, often frequented by Stratford actors. Coffee refills are cheap, there are newspapers to read, and the carbohydrate treats are quite tasty. Lovely wooden floors and lots of glass for people viewing. I can sit here for an hour!

I have been visiting Stratford at least annually for 25 years and BALZAC's is a traditional MUST STOP. I have a bias since Balzac is one of my favorite novelists (I was a H.S. English teacher 49 year ago, turned sociology professor 40 years ago). I always get one of heir great date nut squares and coffee- refills are just... More

High tin ceilings and walls make this a must stop spot for great coffee and snacks. Sit in the window or the sidewalk cafe and enjoy a great start to your day.

The store is wonderful. It is an old store with wood floors, tin ceiling. There are plenty of tables inside and a few outside. They have some great baked goods along with traditional coffee and tea drinks.
