A peculiar little bistro called mirepoix. We serve a little breakfast, and some lunch, but mostly brunch. We serve quality, handmade and freshly baked dishes, focussing on local, seasonal and organic items (wherever possible). Our small, ever changing, blackboard menu is full of fresh, made to order dishes from meat and potatoes to vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free friendly options. We are presently offering, indoor seating, some takeaway & if the weather is nice, the p’tit patio is open on weekends <3

Absolutely delicious! Small place, few tables, very intimate, can be loud. There is no way to make reservations due to the size so my recommendation is to arrive early. The portions are well served and the menu changes all the time. Can be pricey ($20-$35), but it's amazing flavours and excellent quality.

Fantastic breakfast. Everything was so fresh and well prepared. Especially liked the addition of fresh cut herbs which are prominently displayed at the front of the kitchen. Small place. Dining room and kitchen are spotless!
I enjoyed my mushroom and cheese omelette and my wife and friend raved about their salmon eggs Benedict
Amazing macarons to go as well❤️
Service was exceptional. Portions were generous and well priced too

Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. We selected the restaurant because of the good reviews for the eggs Benedict. It was a completely accurate review! It was a large portion, cooked perfectly and served quickly.
We also had the classic breakfast which was an awesome combination of flavours. Again the portion was more than satisfying.
We really appreciated the quaint atmosphere and our waitress was topped off the great culinary experience.

Exterior of the restaurant is unassuming, but cheerful. We almost drove away. But thankfully we decided to give it a try. As soon as we stepped in the door, we knew we made the right choice. Everything on the breakfast menu sounded delicious, and while we both ended up ordering the “classic breakfast”, I can say that it was really the deluxe version - complete with pork belly! I would be remiss if I didn’t say it was a bit pricey, but I will also say, “WORTH IT!!!” We will be back!

Our fifth visit to this little gem of a precious little FTT bistro. A perfect short menu featuring the most amazing smoked pork belly ever. Amazing Benedict’s - pork belly, lobster salmon or truffle - or for big eaters the Classic breakfast - pork belly home made sausage, in house sour dough bread (so good!) etc. Over the summer we brought our friends who usually don’t eat and they shocked us by licking their plates clean. Today our son and fiancé - they’re foodies - and they absolutely loved it. Next week we are coming with our two daughters - also foodies - as we’re very confident that they’ll enjoy the experience. If you are in the Niagara area you have to try it and you won’t be disappointed. This is a labour of love and for excellent food.

My good friend took me here for breakfast this morning, Thurs, Oct 19th & the food was outstanding & the service from Maddy & Eryn (The husband & wife duo) was amazing & very professional 😊. Mandy came to our table very quickly & we order 2 coffees to start & ordered the Pork Belly Eggs Benedict & had a couple cups of the house blend coffee it was delicious, I liked that the sugar cubes were served in a small vessel w/mini tongs & a stainless steel creamer was beside it, very classy & in the bistro style… Our food came out & it look d incredible, 2 perfectly poached eggs along side a generous portion of slow roasted smoked pork belly w/a tasty maple glaze topped w/a lovely golden hollandaise & some gently placed pea sprouts all nestled neatly atop a nice piece of Brie cheese which was supported by a thick diagonally sliced baguette style bread toasted to light brown & a slightly crisp texture. This also was accompanied by 3 roasted mini new potatoes w/perfect seasonings for my palate & I must say this whole plate was executed w/care & the utmost of love & flair by CHEF Eryn. I will definitely by telling as many people that will listen about this hidden GEM & how great the service from Maddy & Eryn was 😊😎❤️.Definite ROCKSTARS in my BOOKS ☮️👍 !!!

The barista at Brazen Cafe recommended this small bistro to us for brunch as we were passing through town on our way to Toronto. The food was exceptional with beautiful presentation and attentive service. Small menu, but that just made it easier to choose. I had a rolled omelette and carrot soup and my boyfriend had an eggs Benedict. He said the eggs were done perfectly. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Food is my art, and my love language. As such, it’s tough to blow us away when we eat out, because my husband now also judges based on how I would make a dish. We are new to St. Catharines, and Mirepoix was recommended to us, so we gave it a whirl today. It was a slam dunk from start to finish. We felt welcomed, and our presence genuinely valued. I had the lobster florentine benedict, and my husband had the smoked salmon & asparagus benedict on gluten free toast. Everything was perfection, including the herb garnishes that were fresh picked from their kitchen garden (I watched the chef do it 😁). For the quality of the food and the service, the prices are very fair. Looking forward to coming back again and again, and trying everything they offer.

This place is around the corner from my house and is a perfect little treat in the summer when you want a really well made breakfast. If you want a diner experience jog-on to somewhere else. This is a premium priced restaurant but the food is excellently prepared and the service is incredibly kind and attentive. Great spot to take a date or treat yourself. Just be respectful of the small space. It’s a bistro, not a chain. Don’t bring 25 people.

"Perfectly particular, amongst a well of variety of very unspoken peculiarities."
Immediately upon being served, I couldn't help but find myself thinking with certainty, that this is truly one of those places Anthony Bourdain was talking about in his "Eat at a local restaurant tonight" quote.
If I say any more, you'll feel like you already went, which I know you would highly regret.
12 hours later, and that pork, alongside such well brewed fresh beverage, still has my mouth watering for more.

What a pleasant morning I just experienced thanks to Bistro Mirepoix. Visiting from Toronto and looked up where to have Brunch and decided to try Mirepoix and I was blown away.
Elevated food with matching service that comes with a smile when you serve great food.
I ordered the Porkbelly & Brie Eggs Benedict and it was delicious and well presented.

After seeing this restaurant had numerous 5 star reviews, we were looking forward to trying it out. We were surprised that all of the breakfast options were $25. For 2 people for breakfast (meal plus coffee) the total bill was $80. The food was good but not fabulous considering the hefty price. The outdoor space was also disappointing. Hard chairs with slatted wooden tables that were weathered, worn and rickety. Definitely not a 5 star breakfast experience.

This place is adorable. Service was amazing and I just about died and went to heaven when I had the brie and pork belly eggs benedict. It was so rich and flavorful and the bread was perfectly toasted with a nice sweet hint. I will absolutely be back here again.

Since Covid even stalwart favourites have left me disappointed in service or quality. So I approached Bistro Mirepoix with trepidation believing it could not live up to its online reviews. I'm happy to shout that not only did this little Bistro exceed my expectations but that it was one of the most delicious dining experiences in recent memory. Highly, highly recommended

My girlfriend wanted me to experience Mirepoix so she took for breakfast this past Sunday. My background is in hotels and this place is the real deal. I ordered the breakfast (eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes). I ordered my eggs “snotty” and the kitchen did not disappoint. Chef Aaron delivered my breakfast and asked if the eggs were to my expectation, quel surprise. The meal was exquisite, potatoes beautifully cooked, toast delicious and bacon drizzled with maple syrup. Quite simply the best breakfast I have ever had. Thank you Chef and to the wonderful staff on shift. Service was great and the coffee was fresh, perfect strength and hot.
Thank you Mirepoix for such a memorable experience. I can’t wait to come back.
