All online orders are pickup orders. We take pickup orders from 11:30am to 3:00pm and 4:00pm to 9:30pm 7 days a week, and every order takes 15-20 minutes to get ready for pickup.

Our recent visit to this restaurant was a great experience. The waitress Raj was very attentive and her recommendations for appetizers and meal choices were excellent. The tandoori chicken came out on a sizzling platter which made it appealing to the eyes, ears and taste buds. The music was pleasant and relaxing and the copper dishes were attractive and kept our beverages cool. The food was fresh. We had a manager check in on us which was appreciated. We even took a variety pack of desserts home in a beautifully decorated box which was Raj’s recommendation and we sampled later that evening. All were delicious and different. It is so great to have a new restaurant with a new type of food to try in the Sault that has atmosphere, choice and great service!

My mother and I went in for lunch today - the staff was very friendly and the food was great! I loved the authentic feel with the decor and I also loved the hammered copper dinner wear! They had a lot of different items to choose from on the menu accommodating vegetarian diets. We had multiple staff members come to our table to ensure that we were enjoying our meal. My mother and I already know what we’re going to get on our next visit! Highly recommend.

After a 10-hour drive, we checked into our hotel and went for a walk to find dinner... lots of fast food options around the hotel area, but who wants that garbage when you can actually get out of your vehicle to eat. We could not believe our good fortune to come across the newly opened Taj restaurant. The portions were generous and filling, but so much more. The aroma and flavour of my Dal was amazing. The atmosphere is delightful, you could dress up for an intimate dinner, or be welcome in your comfortable driving clothes; the staff and owners care about your dining experience. If you live in Sault Ste Marie, you must feel blessed to have this dining experience here. If you are traveling through, make sure to time your day to eat at the Taj Indian Cuisine. The BEST meal I have had this year!!

The food we had in Taj were excellent, elegantly served. Especially Taj would be a good reason to revisit, and definitely is a special place with such excellent positioning in Northern Road. We were very impressed by both the professionalism and hospitality of everyone we interacted with - from the chefs to the servers at the restaurant. The Menu it self designed in lots of choices from Veg to non-Veg from starters to main course. The food was utterly gorgeous, and the refreshments were delicious and arranged in such an appealing presentation. The Biriyani & Dosa so mouth watering and we were so impatient to taste it.
We would like to thank you for your personal care, and for the efficiency of your teams that they have made our dining experience with Indian Cuisine one to be remembered fondly.
Definitely we look forward to visit again & we highly recommend Taj is the place where you can enjoy best of best Indian Food. Don't miss this place if you visit Northern Road in Sault Ste Marie - Ontario.

We were a party of 9 made for 530pm and from the moment we stepped foot in the restaurant it literally felt as cold as outside temperature (20 degrees Fahrenheit). Also, we noticed the air conditioning was blowing directly out of the vent. We had to keep our coats on and looked over at another table they were also wearing coats. We then requested the manager to turn on the heat and I think he may have turned it to about 68 so we really were cold the entire meal. I requested medium spice and the food had one level of spicy which was mild so that was disappointing. The food was meh I wouldn't ever visit again. Another thing that was a turnoff was that the food all arrived at different times. The Naan came a full 30 minutes after the first plate was delivered. Nobody was able to eat at the same time. So the person had to wait and wait for the Naan to arrive and was never able to eat with their meal. I had researched this place as being slightly better than its competition, but really was not great at all. Don't order the Prawn Pancake it was nothing but Pancake and very few shrimp.

Awesome food and excellent service. It was my first time I tasted such a tasty Indian food. It was difficult to decide at first what to order but our waiter Rajni explained each and every thing very perfectly and we appreciate her service. We had tasted desserts as well that was great. Overall I want to say the restaurant has a delicious food and outstanding service. Thanks to staff and Rajni to serve us.

Visited the new restaurant Taj this evening. It was absolutely amazing. The food was fresh and authentic and very flavorful. We had a excellent waitress Paxton. She was very knowledgeable and helpful with questions we had about the menu items. She was very attentive and very personable. We enjoyed our evening very much. Great food and excellent service given by Paxton. Definitely will be returning soon. The menu is extensive with many choices.

Me and my family went tonight for Christmas Eve food and this place was amazing. We had chilly chicken and samosas suggested by our server(Noor) and it was delicious. the main course was too good that I ordered extra and took it home as well and they even gave me a lot of dippings with no charges as I loved them. I would say must visit place with extremely beautiful decor and amazing staff. Our server was really sweet and understanding and helped us a lot in explaining dishes to us.

Orders 3 curry dishes. Everything was tasty, but very spicy. The menu didn't mention the level of heat the dishes would be, so we were glad we had other food for the kids! We found the serving size to be small, but inline with the other Indian restaurants in the area. The picture included on the review is what it looked like when we took it out of th bag. They was $60ish. The rice was delicious. A small part of the bread was still doughy, but other then that everything tasted great

Although we’ve eaten dishes prepared around the world as evidenced by my previous reviews, Indian cuisine is new to us. From the moment we stepped into this totally renovated restaurant around 1:30 because our daughter had just flown in (it was previously an Italian one), we were impressed. The owner and waitress came many times to explain the dishes and to ensure that we were enjoying the food as well as making recommendations.
I ordered the lamb tikka sizzler and hubby the Taj tandoori platter. They came sizzling and just full of huge chunks of flavorful meat. I cook from scratch at home and wouldn’t be able to purchase the quality and quantity of meat for the price paid for it already prepared! Our daughter ordered a biryani and enjoyed it. Hubby and I split a mango lassi which was so fresh and delicious.
Checking out the washrooms also shows the attention to detail. This one was furnished with new quality fixtures and very clean. Too many local restaurants rest on their laurels and have old disgusting washrooms I find.
All in all l, I need to compliment the owner and staff. Between the quality of the food, the attentive service and nice surroundings, I was blown away that this restaurant existed in my hometown. I will be returning again and again!

My wife has needed to cut out dairy from her diet while breastfeeding. We called ahead to see if there was anything we could order knowing most of the food relies on dairy. Our waitress Raj worked with the kitchen and were able create two dishes, a lamb Rogan Josh, and a Chicken Kadai, completely dairy free.
Fantastic service, and the food was excellent.

Just wow! The restaurant is well located with a parking lot at the rear. Good value for money and something for everyone who likes Indian food The butter chicken is the best I’ve ever had! The restaurant is clean, food is very good. I am going again, and again and again 💪🏾

My husband and I went there for dinner. We really liked the decor, the music, the cutlery and the serving dishes. The young woman who attended our table was very friendly and brought everything at the time expected. We ordered butter chicken wrapped in a crepe and tandoori baked lamb with Indian flaky bread. We found both dishes to be a bit dry. So, if you're looking for juicy meet order masala dishes. However, the flavor was tasty and wasn't overly spicy hot. The bread was absolutly delicious! We'll definitely order it again. Overall, we enjoyed our time there.

I am a huge fan of the Taj! Food and service are always great. I am here all the time. Me and a friend went for dinner last night and we had Rajni as our server. She is a superstar wow!! She helped us with great recommendations, gave us complimentary naan bread and was an absolute delight to speak to. She even gave us take away menus with her personal favourites highlighted so we can try different things on our next visit. Rajni is the absolute best there is! Thank you to the Taj for always delivering a 10/10 experience all across the boards!

This was an amazing experience after long time tasting the real Indian authentic food. Dosa which you can get only at this place in the Sault Ste.Mari and it is so delicious. All foods are well flavoured with Indian spices as I can remember my Indian visit last time. Even the interior decoration was tailored to resemble the Indian atomespher. Wellcoming and friendly staff and excellent service. Would recommend anyone to go and try their mouth-watering food.
