I was raving about this place long when it first opened. The owner is its best asset. Unfortunately, the restaurant manager lacks of people skills to the point where she'll ignore people's request if it's too much work or will make them wait until frustration arises. Therefore, my friends and I have stopped going there. The menu is nice but... More

The 1st time I tried this place it was with friends on a Friday night for drinks & snacks. It was so crowded that sitting at the bar was the only choice. Noise level very high, so difficult to talk. Décor fun, interesting but very dark. I was told all the "cool" people come to this little place. My 2nd... More

If you love seafood, this is for you:) this is hearty enough for a meal. The thai hot pot is amazing. I love the sweet potato fries. Make a reservation on weekends.

So, the food here is actually amazing! The atmosphere is very hip and cool and the service is actually pretty wonderful! But don't go during busy times. Of my two visits one was during busy hour, the other was during a quiet time, when it is very busy you literally can't hear your server or the people across the table... More

This place was recommended by the tourism bureau. Went in for lunch on a quiet tuesday and was quite impressed by the decor. The menu had so many interesting choices...I wanted a light lunch and took the clam chowder. It turned out to be a perfect meal and was delicious! Then came the dessert menu which I couldn't pass. I... More

Never mind "cool for Sarnia" Lola's is cool for Toronto or NYC. In my job as an on camera host/Wellness expert, I have had the good fortune of dining in amazing spots all over the world. Lola's expert staff, "overall dining experience" and Lamb :-) easily compare or "outdo" and local I have attended.....Outside of seeing my family and friends,... More

I have been to Lola's many times on previous business trips to Sarnia and so after a long day at work, thought I would go in for a meal more than 45 minutes before the posted closing time but apparently the kitchen had already closed! Very disappointed!

Came to Sarnia for 5 days on business and after having the French onion soup once I had to go back and get it again. Best French onion soup I have ever had. The lighting in the restaurant is a bit odd and dim for lunch or early dinner but overall the soup made the visit worthwhile.

Very, very disappointed in my meal. Chopped salad with beef tenderloin, boiled egg, avocado and blue cheese dressing. The steak was very tough top sirloin with gristle. Would I go back. No, but this is my daughter's treat to me, so I did not complain or voice my opinion to the waitress. If I'd have been paying for this I... More
