This isn't one of those new "faux" diners trying to recapture the aura of a 60's-70's diner. This place seems to be a genuine survivor from that era. My companion joked it must be owned by either a Frank or a Gus....waitress said "Gus". Yikes! Good guess. Good diner food, fresh cut fries and super friendly wait staff. Lots of... More

I have been here a few times for breakfast and have never been disappointed. The diner is a bit of a hole in the wall with some dated decor, but not to worry. The main deal here is the breakfast fare. All the standard choices, but they do the basic breakfast really well. The eggs are perfectly cooked and the... More

Great breakfast food (I'm a breakfast fanatic so if they have all day breakfast I'm all over it!) lunch is great too though I had that once! The service is friendly and quick my only complaint is they are a bit on the high end of pricing for a local diner! That aside (and don't get me wrong I wouldn't... More

A 1970s Era Restaurant, A place the locals frequent for breakfast and lunch. Quaint but dated. Located in the Downtown area of Sarnia.

This is like a trip to the past; meet Gus, the owner and operator for 40+years and you will think you are home at your local restaurant. The interior is clean and comfortable and is still has the stools at the fountain counter and booths in the main section. The food is very good, large portions and the staff are... More

Real homefries. To me, that speaks volumes. Most places can fry eggs properly (which they did). Most places can properly trim and brown peameal bacon (which they did). Most places can whip up a good veggie omlette (which they did) But few restaurants make their own homefries these days, but they did. As we arrived late for breakfast, the waitress... More

The Cromwell Grill is a place I always suggest to out of town visitors. Its the best home cooking in town in my opinion and the owners and wait staff are friendly, efficient and helpful.

It'll be about as long again as it was since the previous time before I return here. It had been over a decade since I'd been here, including the company I bring/drive. I ordered the turkey sandwich special as it looked delicious on the menu. It came with gross, white bread (two soggy slices, under the turkey, which had large... More

Had a decent breakfast here. Eggs were good. Homefries are way too dry. Hash browns are a better choice and have good flavour. Busy place and staff is friendly.
