Fairouz is a Middle East inspired upscale casual restaurant that showcases the ingredients, flavours, and recipes of authentic Middle Eastern cuisine in a service-focused environment with modern touches. The pita bread is also made fresh to order. We pride ourself on our relationship with local farms and purveyors.
Came here with three friends on a Sunday and they were only serving small plates. We ordered one of everything to share. Meal was delicious, only to be soured by an allergic reaction I had from the cashews on the halloumi. I told the server,...More
...make it this one! The portions are not enormous, and it is not cheap, but you are paying for, and getting, great ingredients prepared in imaginative interpretations of middle eastern dishes. The plates were beautifully presented as well, so it was a feast for the...More
A quaint setting in an old house, not much of a waiting area. Service was very friendly and clearly knowledgeable though slow. I feel that restaurant people always see "slow service" comments as something that impatient people say but this usually means the food was...More
The approach here is small and large (sharing) plates. The food is excellent and the wine and beer list is substantive, but it’s a pricey place for the small size of the “sharing” portions. My friends and I enjoyed the atmosphere, the service was very...More

Not being from Ottawa, we weren't entirely sure what to expect. This restaurant is situated in a very nice part of the city where most if not all businesses are in small converted houses.
The interior is very charming and comfortable. The staff were...More
There are so many great things to say about this restaurant, from the food to the ambiance to the service, only one word comes to mind- OUTSTANDING. My friends and I have been talking about trying this restaurant for quite some time now and finally...More
Went with colleagues for a work dinner and enjoyed the chef’s tasting menu. They were accommodating of vegetarian and other dietary requirements and altered dishes for members of our party. The sumac chicken and rice was particularly yummy as was the dessert with pistachios.
Ive been practicing cooking Yotam Ottolenghi recipes so for my birthday dinner with my son I chose Fairouz on a Sunday when only small plates are featured. We shared 4 for 2 people and they were all delicious and nicely plated but pricey for the...More
