I don't know why the other reviews on here are so glowing. The only good thing about this place is the patio. Other than that, the food is below average and nothing special. The service here needs to be improved: the waitstaff was not friendly at all and seemed generally indifferent. There are much better choices nearby.

I came here with my family a while back and had the hummus platter - it was absolutely delicious, and the hummus appeared to be hand-made. The beer was crisp and refreshing and the service was fantastic!

Was their on Tuesday for wing night for the first time. The wings were excellent and did not disappoint. The place was hopping with regulars. Good spot to visit with the boys or friends. Always sports on the TV. Thumbs up.

Tolerable wait for service. The waiter was a bit blunt but then realized that the 6 of us were from Ottawa. Seemed to change his tune when he came back with our first round. No food served after 11 pm. That didn't go over to well with us. Could have at least had munchies of some sort.

Stopped by here in between games at the Brier, because anything closer to TD Place was to busy. Service was good and staff were friendly. Decor could use a little bit of work. Bathrooms so-so. Seems to have fair selection of beers. Food wise I thought they were just okay. My wife and I had the fish and chips, our daughter... More

Haven't been here in the winter before but found the service just as good as during the summer. The beer battered fish and chips with home cut fries were excellent and perfect after a long skate on the canal. The Reuben sandwich was generous (but put more sauerkraut on it please). Nice casual place to gather.

The staff was very friendly as were the patrons. A & L sports a great selection of local beer. I had raspberry stout cask that was very nice on a December evening as the Senators beat the Hawks. I was warned by the staff that Ontario has a law that burgers must be medium well (ovecooked). Other than that it... More

One of the best beer selections in the city. It changes almost weekly I think because every time I go in they have new options to try. The food is OK - you can't go wrong with the basic apps, burgers, and their salads are usually good for a pub. Usually great service and most of the staff known their... More

First off, this is one of the only places in Ottawa that will offer cider in pitcher form, so automatic win there. Their gluten free menu has made this into a regular haunt for my group of friends. Their menu is diverse and from what I've tasted so far, very well done.

Food: my friend was OK with his pizza. My Reuben was not good, although it seemed to contain a lot of meat. Maybe not enough sauce. The salad mix had some rotten leaves in it and my orange juice was fermented. Atmosphere: that building gives me the 1980s creeps and it was full of hipsters. Service: HORRIBLE. The girl was...
