My wife, daughter (37 years old ) and I visited this East End restaurant after receiving a gift certificate gift and high praises from our older daughter and son in law. The location is deceptive as it is off Beechwood Ave ( formerly Vanier Area ) and not really situated in a a trendy restaurant area...BUT... that is starting to... More

I have eaten here about 5 times. Tonight, I got a reservation on short notice. The food and ambience were amazing. I was seated quickly and told about the specials . The kitchen surprise was wonderful as always. My only complaint was that we waited 18 minutes to get our bill paid. Other tables were being served and bills processed... More

Definitely worth a visit. Just had an excellent meal with prompt and courteous service. What a treat! They offer numerous lunch specials. We truly enjoyed the smoked trout served with green and potato salads. The portion was just perfect for lunch. Fraser's cafe ranks right up there as one of the best restaurants in the capital region.

I'm not even sure how we heard about this place.. Either from a cop on the street our one of the Whalesbone restaurant staff, but we're glad we went! This is a cozy little neighborhood spot, parking is on street and you may need to circle a few times, and reservations are recommended. The menu varies by seasonality, we had... More

I've been to Fraser's multiple times now for birthdays, graduation, just because and it never disappoints! My parents love getting the Chef's surprise and their Thai Shrimp Bisque is out of this world!!! Can't wait to go back!

Came here for lunch in a group of four adults. Service was helpful and cheerful - and efficient. Drinks came quickly and our food was delivered in good time. The food was tasty and there was enough to satisfy hunger - and without being too large. We all enjoyed lunch and I would recommend Fraser Cafe

From the open kitchen to the intimate and quirky d'école to the crazy beverage list contained in Campbell cookbooks. Seating in nooks and crannies make for a memorable visit. The service is terrific and is only surpassed by the fine food produced by the kitchen staff. So excited to showcase little Gems in Ottawa to my out of town coworkers... More

The octopus appetizer the best of the best compared to Greece and Turkey, but not Alexandria Egypt, still a delicatessen savourus tasty. Raw tuna is next, quails excellent, and oysters from whalebones always fresh. For the main menu let the Chef chose the surprise menu. You will never get disappointed. You have to make reservation ahead. The Frasers brothers I salute... More

I live outside of Ottawa and wanted to treat my sister and her fiance to a special dinner ahead of their wedding. I rang ahead a few weeks to book a table and asked that a bottle of sparkling wine be ready for us when we get there. They accommodated my request and were so lovely the whole evening. The... More
