I have had the opportunity to eat twice now at Fraser's a few weeks apart. I have eaten there before but not until these two visits did I have a food restriction to deal with. Fraser's went beyond in helping to accommodate me. I had called the restaurant ahead of time and made my issue known (I can't have sodium).... More

We sat at the bar on a Friday evening because they were completely booked when we arrived before they opened at 5:00pm. The host (owner?) was kind enough to save us a seat at the bar until they opened. The Lebanese bartender is literally the best bartender anywhere - friendly, accommodating, and an interesting guy . Sitting at the bar... More

Love the Fraser Cafe. It's perfect for a special occasion. It's pricey, but you will NEVER leave feeling ripped off. My friend had the scallops, and they were just ok compared to what we got - you have to get the roast chicken and pork belly for 2, it was to die for. The service was amazing, the food, ambiance.... My wife and I went to the Fraser Café and were not disappointed. The decor and ambiance are inviting. The menu is somewhat limited but still manages to offer interesting fare. Service was excellent and attentive. That being said, the noise level got progressively louder so that at the end, my wife and I, sitting across each other, had to... More

Finally a "great" restaurant in Ottawa, a city known for its overpriced mediocre food choices. We were given a dinner out at Fraser Cafe as a wedding present & the entire evening was exceptional. Our waiter (career waiter...hard to find) took care of us from our first cocktail to our after dinner aperitif. All 3 courses were amazing (scallops highly... More

My wife and I are both semi regulars for weekend brunch and we do go for the occasional dinner. Food is always good, some of the brunch dishes are very inventive. The staff are friendly and well educated on the menu and the service is always excellent. We both highly recommend Fraser Cafe.

We'd been meaning to dine at Fraser Cafe for some time but just never got around to it...until last nite. Service was friendly, well-timed, engaged. The menu was limited, but in a good way. Food was delicious and well presented. For the record the appetizers included the octopus fritters and 'rice balls' with duck confit; mains were scallops and a... More

Have eaten here many times and the quality of food cannot be beat. Once 4 of us ordered the "Chef Surprise", fully expecting we would be receiving the same meal, whatever it was. Instead, the chef matched our mains to the four different glasses of wine we had chosen; a creative and thoughtful touch. I prefer to come at lunch... More

I like to brunch at Fraser Cafe in New Edinburgh. It's always busy so do make a reservation before you venture out. Tight seating beside other tables, but worth it to taste quality, creative plates in this bustling neighbourhood eatery.

I read an article about an Ottawa chef who had become a head chef in in a Michelin Star restaurant in Europe. In this article he named his top 3 restaurant picks for Ottawa. The Fraser Cafe was one of them. I went with some work colleagues for lunch. Some of us like to try different things and some others... More
