It was almost time for the restaurant to close, but we didn't feel that we were being rushed. Great food and decent portions. Unlike most Indian restaurants, they have options for people who don't eat much. The person who waited on us, was from Bangladesh, he was very friendly and accommodating and friendly.

Stopped in on a Saturday night. Busy but nice place. Vindaloo and saag paneer were both excellent naan bread and raita too.

I visited with my fiancée (we ordered takeout) and we were very impressed! Not only was everything we ordered delicious, we called because we thought something had been missed from our order and even though we were wrong, they still opted to deliver us the items in question to us for free! I would most definitely eat here again.

Being located in the ByWard Market abundance of restaurants, you'd think they would try for higher quality food and better service to attract their fair share of the restaurant trade here, but to me this was no different from every other street corner Indian restaurant everywhere else in the US and Canada. Service was indifferent, food was mediocre and décor... More

I haven't been to India, but seems Commonwealth nations uniformly have some of the best Indian food in the world. My principal criterion is flavor complexity. If ur palate isn't both amused and confused by a dish, it isn't worth having. Check some of my reviews of other Indian restaurants around the world. Ottawa's worthy entry is Shafali. We went... I've eaten here many times over the years and have always left thinking what a great meal, but on my last visit, I wasn't pleased with the meal. I had chicken korma and my wife had butter chicken. Both dishes seemed very runny and less flavorful than usual. The raita even seemed less appealing than usual. I've chalked it up... More

My girlfriend and I spent a few days in Ottawa and we decided to have diner here one evening. First, we were greeted with a smile by a young lady who made our whole dining experience very memorable. Furthermore, my girlfriend speaks little English, but the communication was not an issue as the young lady serving us spoke French to... More

Working downtown, I love to grab a quick bite to eat on the go. This place sells some fantastic indian wraps. I had the chicken tikka wrap and it was wonderful. I will probably be eating here bi-weekly, it's that good!

Lovely food and decent service. Indian kitchen requires bit more preparation time and given this fact it was definately ok. Curries and appetizer sampler were delicious.
