Waited 20 minutes for my drink. Actually received my first course and was almost finished eating it when my drink came. Cutlery wasn't on my section at the bar. Pleasant staff. Had the albacore crudo which was a melange of flavors that seemed to compete with each hanger steak was nicely prepared. Chocolate page dessert was rich but the rhubarb... More

Having read so many wonderful reviews, we reserved a spot for lunch to cap a visit to the National Gallery. (the restaurant is a very short walk away.) We had a table on the second floor with a lovely view and great service - but otherwise the dining experience was underwhelming. The only bright note was the charcuterie platter, well... More

I came to this restaurant the day the President Obama spoke to Parliament. It was a bit surreal walking along Wellington and then Sussex Streets to get there due to all the security and road closures. This restaurant has a wide variety of small plates - all beautifully crafted and delicious. While I was there, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau dropped in... More

Had a memorable family meal here. Lots of creative naturally gluten free choices on the menu. A good choice in Byward area. Great for a group that likes sharing.

We loved our Play experience.. The staff were fabulous, informative and fun. The food and wine were excellent and for our last night in Ottawa we couldn't have chosen better. Go!

Definitely different. Staff were fantastic but the menu tries to be too bold. Too many different flavours trying to compete on the same plate so when you have to order several dishes you come away with a feeling of 'what just happened'.

OMG…love, love, love Play Food and Wine!!! Had such a lovely lunch with the honeys and we all really enjoyed this menu!!! Everyone should go before they change the menu (as they do base on local produce- season). Two Plates for $22 at lunch is amazing. There is something for everyone. Kristy-Anne (10 year old daughter) had the artichoke &... More
