I used to love Play, but I had not gone there for several years. We had a few visitors from out of town, so we decided to give it another try. The small plates are quite generous and the scallops were delicious although the seafood...More
Does what it says on the tin serves delicious small plates and some fine wine in the heart of Ottawa. It has a slightly sophisticated but yet informal atmosphere, with a menu that seems to change pleasingly with the seasons (that’s two in Ottawa).
We went for lunch and so we had had their 2 tapas for $25 lunch special. Every thing was excellent. We had:
- Tempeh and mushroom kimchi.
- Grilled halloumi with zucchini noodles, piperade, olives and peanuts.

Came here for Saturday night dinner with another couple on a cool Saturday in May. Very friendly servers and always ready to serve. Here are the goods: bring your own wine with $20 dollar corkage and that is well worth. They do have an extensive...More
I went there for a Mother's Day treat with my son. Usually when I go to a restaurant, I go with an empty stomach because I usually get more food than I would eat at home. This did not work for this place. Yes it...More
