Fazio's has been a part of the Oshawa scene for decades. Family owned and run. Yes, the place is "old" but not every restaurant should update its decor. I like the "oldness" - it is relaxing. The food is excellent and a very reasonable price. They have a great wine selection. If you are looking for a romantic experience, Fazio's... More

Had a fabulous meal! The best Caesar Salad I've ever had! The dressing was amazing! Followed with Calamari and a Rack of Lamb! Outstanding! We had a couple of bottles of wine from one of the most extensive wine menus I've ever seen! There were 5 of us and everyone was very happy with their meals & service! Erica was... More

Went to Fazio's tonight for the first time and I must say that this is easily my new favorite fine dining establishment in Durham. We started off with a bottle of wine and a shrimp appetizer, which was really good. We also had some bread and peppers before our food arrived and let me tell you, those peppers are like... More

This is actually the second time at Fazio's, the first not as great. The first time we were just two couples and the food was mediocre. My husband and I both had the pasta and it wasn't superb. The second time we went we were a group of 9 and had a fabulous time. Most of us had the special,... More

We sat at the bar as the restaurant was fully booked. We had requested that when a table became available, would they keep us in mind. Well they sure didn't! Had wine, salad & pasta and good conversation. Meanwhile we noticed lots of people coming in and were turned away unless they had a reservation. About half way through our... More

This evening four of us had reservations for 5 pm for dinner, as we were attending a concert at 7 pm. We arrived at 4:55 pm and our waiter, jokingly, said we could sit wherever we wanted as one room was completely empty and the other room had only two tables filled. He brought us our menus promptly along with... More

I heard once that the mark of a good restaurant was the number of patrons at any given time. I walked into the Fazio's tonight and there wasn't a soul in the place. I thought I would be a trooper and go ahead and stay anyway. The gentleman that greeted me as I walked in was pleasant and attentive. However,... More

A pleasant and buy establishment in the down town. The menu has a fair choice of dishes. The emphasis is definitely weighted towards Italian cuisine. It is not a very big restaurant but it has an amazing wine cellar. The atmosphere is okay and the wait staff is courteous. The food is good but the wait time till it reaches... More
