Took some New Zealand visitors there last week. It was a beautiful steamy day and we wanted to sit outside in the shade. We asked for an outdoor table and were told there wasn't one available by the hostess. We asked how long a wait it would be and we were told half an hour. We said we were willing... More

What could be better than to sit out on a lovely terrace on a balmy summer evening sipping a divine rose? And if there is delicious food to go with the wine, all the better. We were fortunate to have both on a recent trip to this highly rated Niagara-region winery restaurant. The rose was a real surprise, for a... More

Great food, great service, lovely presentation...It was a pleasant evening, so we sat on the patio overlooking the vineyard which was very nice. Our server was very knowledgeable about the food and the wine....just a great night, after having toured the winery earlier that day.

We went here for lunch because we preferred the lunch menu to the dinner menu. On a hot, humid day we sat inside to take advantage of the air conditioning but on earlier visits with more temperate weather the patio was nice. Our meal was quite light because we were headed to the Shaw Festival for a matinee. My wife... More

We went to Trius for their afternoon patio appetizers which are advertised as "meant to be shared". We ordered the cheese plate, which came with three types of cheese, walnut toast, candied walnuts, beet preserves, and their homemade baguette and wine infused butter. Everything was very good, but the 18$ cheese plate might have had 1/2oz of cheese on it.... More

It's become a tradition for us to get on the road to head home and stop at Trius for Sunday brunch, and again, we weren't disappointed. Everything is delicious, well prepared and presented and the wine pairings are perfect. This too, like Treadwell, is a destination restaurant. Don't miss it!

Have dined many times for both lunch and dinner. Always excellent food and service in a pleasant setting. Restaurant was recently renovated and chairs and lighting awesome. Great patio with large umbrellas for shade overlooking the vineyard. Menu changes often with fresh local items. Had corn soup with a bit of sausage a bit runney but tasty. Had capon entree... More

Did some wine tasting and unknowing to me, there are numerous wineries in only a few miles. This place is very good and if you sample wine, you can deduct the price of the sampling from the purchase of wine. A very nice and memorable stop.

After some late morning wine tasting, lunch was necessary to proceed. Our servers were very polite and efficient. The outside courtyard was sunny at tables for two, while the larger tables were in the shade. We shared a delicious peach salad with the greens wrapped in prosciutto, a creative touch. The 3 cheese plate with two different breads was wonderful... More

Upon arrival, we went to the Trius Gift Store as we were somewhat early for our reservation (which is a must if visiting on a weekend!) As we were enjoying our wine tasting, our host was amiable and told us of the wines that Trius had sent to the Oscars in California earlier this year. He clearly enjoyed his patrons... More

Description
Hillebrand Winery Restaurant celebrates the relationship between our land, our people, our wines and our food. Chef Frank Dodd showcases locally inspired cuisine made with ingredients from the bounty of Niagara Wine Country, and Winemaker Craig McDonald pairs them with wines made from grapes that grow in the same soil. Extend your stay in Wine Country, and allow us to arrange a private tasting in our Collector's Boutique or another Winery Experience prior to your meal.
