Had a nice afternoon tea, very similar to many others we've had but overall a pleasant experience. The scones were especially good~ nice and tender. We each had our own teapot with the opportunity to select our own tea. Lovely old hotel and the most beautiful arrangement of roses were everywhere we looked!

A friend and I went to the Prince of Wales this week for Afternoon Tea. I have to say it was horrible and I would never go back to the Prince of Wales. $8 extra for darjeeling tea. Scones that were huge and more like biscuits. They actually had a croissant on an afternoon tea tray. You don't have croissant... More

There are so many great reviews on TripAdvisor for the high tea in the Drawing Room at the Prince of Wales Hotel. My experience would indicate that many of these reviews were overly generous as the afternoon tea was the absolute worst I have ever experienced. Do patrons base reviews on an elegant Victorian room, nice tablecloths, cups and saucers... More

The tea at the Drawing Room is in an elegant drawing room reminiscent,of Downton Abbey. Even the wait staff are dressed in Vogue. The service was excellent. The tea itself was more than plentiful and we were able to have a late night snack with the leftovers. The presentation is beautiful. The food itself is quite good but the best... More

When there with my newly wed wife and as a surprise for her as she loved British culture, so we had high expectations for this famous Tea Room at Prince of Wales Hotel. The service was very slow, we had waited able 5 to 10 minutes before someone greeted us at the door.(Where we had made reservation before) After we... More

My wife and I were very lucky to have been able to visit the tea room when we did, as the were having a Mad Hatter tea party which was such fun. We have been to the tea room quite a few times in the past for afternoon tea and even an evening candlelight tea one time. It is just... More

Tea at the Prince of Wales has been a tradition for a number of years now. This most recent visit was up to it's usual high standards. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and took the extra time to explain the difference between the various tea blends. The highlight for me is always the freshly baked scones... More

If you want to feel like Engish royalty, have High Tea at the Prince of Wales! Everything was just wonderful. We elected to have the Monarch Tea service which is an upgrade, but wanted to experience it all. I had the Peach tea and a sparkling wine, along with the tasteful sandwiches and pastries! This is a MUST DO!!

Six of us stopped in at the spur of the moment. The menu is not cheap but seldom do I find such attractive, decorative food. We all ordered different food and there was not one plate that arrived that looked average. I have to commend the chef on making their food look so attractive. It is a more expensive restaurant... My daughter and I went for high tea Sept 17 2016 and really enjoyed it. We had a hard time deciding which teas we wanted. After a while we chose 2 different teas. They were both nice. The scones with clotted cream were excellent, and we enjoyed the sandwiches. We found the pots of tea were a lot for 2 ppl... More
