Food was surprisingly good and the kids obviously loved it - take a closer look at the kids menu that you think it needs… it’s designed and presented as a typical kids menu with drinks + main and side (eg pizza or chicken fingers and fries) + dessert but the drinks and desserts are not actually included in the price so the meal ends up costing around $30 each, on par with an adult entree… When I expressed my surprise to the wait staff, they told me this detail WAS included in the kids menu but I had to read the tiny tiny print to see it - which tells you other people have also made this comment so I encouraged her to tell future guests this little fact before ordering extra charge drinks or desserts… The kids still enjoyed it but we definitely left on a down note… Ask for a table directly in front of the animatronic elephants or gorillas for best / most unobstructed views for kids between 3-10… our 2 year old was a bit overwhelmed by them but loved the fish in the aquarium…

The rainforest cafe was a “must do” for us and our 10 year old, as there are not many of them around anymore (at least not where we live) so we wanted to go when we had the chance. This location is located in the heart of the “tourist trap” street of Clifton Hill. The wait can get a bit long, but we went right at 11 when they opened for lunch and (after waiting a few extra minutes for them to actually open) we had no problem getting a seat. The theming is awesome as expected, with lots of trees and foliage, a fountain, fish tanks, many animatronic animals, and the occasional “thunderstorm”. The adult food was actually surprisingly good. Our burgers were probably slightly above average, but much bigger than expected. The kids meal was average- pretty small portions for any kid above toddler age. We got 2 burgers, a kids meal, and two adult sodas. Total with tip was $120. That’s very outrageous. You’re definitely paying for the theme, including a high tourist tax. That being said, if you’ve never been to a rainforest cafe, you may find that the experience is worth the price. :) My son loved it.

We were at the restaurant today. I would like to share my 5 cents. Service was very good. Josh did a great job serving our table. The problem was with the food/kitchen. The starter dish (the large nachos platter) came out perfect and pretty swiftly and we finished it very quickly. The main dishes came at the right time but the food didn't taste great. Kids menus were okay, no complaints, but the main courses we ordered were all substandard. The chicken and shrimp pasta was made with a very cheap brand of spaghetti, it didn't taste like pasta, rather like a substitute, if it was indeed pasta, which I doubt, it was some very soft and cheap kind. How can you spoil pasta? Even the quality of protein was good but the pasta itself was terrible. It did not get better after we were kindly offered it to be re-made for us. French fries served with Fish and Chips were way overcooked. I liked the fish but my daughter didn't enjoy it saying everything was too "deep" fried. My kids complained of stomachache after we ate. They all had those french fries. Not good, the kitchen staff do not give a thought to what they serve to children.

We have viseted many Rainforest cafe in a few country's. This was the worst. We were a couple arriving about 6pm so it was busy but no where near full, the lady who guided us to our table never looked at us greeted us or smiled. (we should of left then). Our server approached within 5 mins saying she would be back soon 10 mins later she took our order and drinks, I got my drink immediately (Pepsi) husband waited 35 mins for his beer. The food came 1hr 45mins after we sat done. I had chicken breast with veg and gravy... What I got was to crispy chicken beasts (hardly any meat as it was so deep fried it was completely dried out) raw carrots broccoli and cabbage and a tiny bowl of white gravy (the size ketchup comes in) my husband had steak which was with the same uncooked vegetables. Our server only came back to say here's your bill, we didn't even get offered a sweet (not that we would of had one) for the privlidge of this awful experience it cost us $130 1 drink and 1 course of food each. Do not go here it really is the worst Rainforest cafe I have been too.

I have been greatly disappointed and disrespected during my visit at the Rainforest Cafe at the Niagara Falls location in Canada, on October 5, 2024. I had dinner with my family of 11 members  at the Rainforest Cafe on Saturday, October 5th around 8:20 pm until 10:00 pm. As  my husband, myself and my 4 years old son were at the exit door to exit the restaurant , a staff member named Kruti was closing the door right in front of our faces and asking us to go around and find another exiting door. I had my 4 year old son with me and kindly requested she hold the door open for 1 minute so I would not have to make my 4 year old son walk around the restaurant at 10 pm. Instead of kindly responding to our request she responded with a very disrespectful and vulgar language swearing to me and my family with this exact words "WHAT THE F*** IS THIS" This was a horrible thing to say in front of a 4 year old kid and a customer who came to spend a weekend dinner at the Rainforest Cafe and not to mention I spent over $500 to get this kind of disrespect.  I confronted the manager who was there at 10 pm on October 5th, who kindly asked Kruti, the girl at the door to apologize for the vulgar language. She refused to apologize.  I did not get an apology but I got insulted even more being called a racist.  There are no words to describe how disrespectful the Rainforest Cafe employee at the door named Kruti was to my family and I and how insulting it was to use such vulgar language to a customer and to be called a racist. Overall, I was very disappointed and this kind of disrespect and it did ruin my whole dinner experience at the Rainforest Cafe.

We recently travelled from London to Niagara Falls with some family members that were staying with us and were looking forward to the Rainforest Café and most importantly their renowned ‘sparkling volcano’ dessert. The dessert is featured all throughout the restaurant – at every table, there are at least two signs promoting the dessert, which is the first thing you see when you walk up to the host’s desk. We were never told that the restaurant would not have this option as they had no ice cream until after we finished our food. After consuming around $450-500 in two bills at our table, we were informed that they were not able to offer us that dessert or any others, besides one, as they had no ice cream. We were encouraged to return later that evening when the shipment came in, and when we did that, we were told excitedly by the hostess that it was available, only to find out that it was in fact not, after we asked her to double check. This, coupled with our server’s inpatient attitude made for a disappointing and frustrating experience.

I’m completely dissatisfied with my experience at the Rainforest Cafe in Niagara Falls. While the interior is undeniably impressive, the food and service were terrible. We paid $207 for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, and it was nowhere near worth it. The steak was rubber-like, and everything else we ordered was equally tasteless. On top of that, the service was awful – slow and inattentive. It’s simply not worth waiting in line for such poor quality food. I expected much better for the price, but this was a huge letdown. I definitely wouldn’t recommend visiting.

Nowhere near as exciting as it was a few years ago. Hardly any of the animatronics were working and prices ridiculous. We were a group of three adults and two children and our bill was $280 really not much. The kids meals were very tiny and we were charged for their drinks which I thought was included when I checked after totally not worth it anymore.

Service was terrible, slow and wrong food came out even though restaurant was empty. Also paying $32 for a simple burger and fries is rediculous, the animals moving and thunder etc used to be much better and more entertaining. Absolutely not worth the money. If I had seen the proper price I would have walked out. For a family of 4 it was $200 with just fountain drinks and simple burgers. Very disappointing. Never will I go here again. I went because I had a friend come on holiday, I would suggest just walking it to see but not eat. Even to see is pretty lame now, needs a lot of updating.

Don’t bother coming. We came because it was my nieces 9th birthday. Upon arrival I told the server it was her 9th birthday and asked about what they can do. So he offered to do a birthday announcement and we can either choose a dessert from the kids menu or purchase a chocolate lava thing that was 19.99. First off, he didn’t take our order for a long while. I don’t think it was busy to be leaving us for this long. But that wasn’t the problem. When we were all done eating we then wanted the birthday dessert. I went to go ask him about it, and he said that he was doing the sundae. He didn’t even come back to ask which one we would’ve been wanted because then we would’ve gotten the chocolate lava option. A couple of us went to use the washroom, including the birthday girl, and during this time he just dropped off the Sunday. Didn’t wait for her to come back. I wouldn’t come back, service was underwhelming. Food was mediocre. It’s just the lack of thought and consideration that was appalling

I wouldn't personally recommend going to this place if you want great food. The dishes are ok but nothing special - be warned portions are huge, you may not be able to manage a starter and a main! The other reason for a low rating for the food was the very high prices from our view v. The quality of food The service was however really good and we had a fantastic waitress who looked after us and tended to all out requests. The min tip on the credit card machine was 18% but you can press for a custom amount. The other positive, why people visit this place is for the atmosphere - every 15mins there's a stimulation of a rain forest storm it terms of sound & visuals - also regularly the animals dotted round the palce move. For your kids it's fantastic. On the flip side it is very dark so for the older members of our party, we had to use the torches on our mobiles to see the menus! In summary, a place you go for the atmosphere, experience and service rather than the quality of the food

We always dine here whenever we’re in town. True, the prices aren’t cheap and the animals look a little creaky, but it’s a sentimental fav. Kid enjoyed her Mac n cheese with veggies. Wife said her pastalaya (jambalaya with linguine) was okay and not too spicy. I will hereafter avoid the cheesesteak sandwich as it was dry and flavorless. What was really disappointing was that our waiter explained there’s no desserts except for children. The volcano was brought out to a nearby table but we didn’t have the appetite for that undertaking.

Wasn’t even busy and we waited 45 minutes to be greeted by our server whilst the ‘manager’ continued to come by apologizing for the lack of service. After finally being greeted, we were told we had to place our order right away since the kitchen was closing in 10 (v ironic). Ordered the pasta and was disgusted by this $40 microwaved mush - could’ve gotten better pasta at 7/11 for a fraction of the $. Manager had nothing to offer for our horrible experience other than some free dessert, which only included the pudding or sundae - what a joke after our $150 bill 🤣. Most certainly won’t be back to this clown house

I’ve been to Rainforest Cafe before in the US. The food is always average and expensive but it’s fun for the kids so we go. This one was not as fun because the animatronics were really run down. The fur and skin were worn off on several that we noticed and you could see foam. As expensive as the food is, it makes sense to reinvest back into what makes you special, but I guess that’s not the business model here. Also, watch out for the extra “tourist tax” that isn’t really a tax. And watch out on the suggested tip. When you pay, as the waiter stands over you watching, the option to tip by percentage comes up. I chose 20%, but when I did the math later looking at the receipt I realized the suggestion was based on the total AFTER tax! I left feeling like they got me. 2 appetizers, 1 beer and one soda were $73.63 after tax and tip. Honestly, the hot dog cart run by the National Park was good and cheap. I recommend that instead.

First time in Niagara falls and the place looked different, so we decided to go for it. Hostess was very welcoming and kind, however service once we sat down took a while. Since it was so expensive we decided to get an appetizer. just an appetizer of spinach dip cost us 35 dollars. as if they weren't expensive enough, they threw in hidden fees that luckily, we were informed about before dinning. these "fees" are illegal and go into the owner's pocket. they took it right off the bill once we asked for a manager and stood over our shoulder as they were waiting to be tipped. cool, and unique place but will make sure not to come back.
