Another amazing dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. Boyfriend and I traveled to Niagara Falls for Valentine’s Day weekend, and of course we had to have V-Day dinner at Weinkeller.
The restaurant was fully booked on February 14th and even operating on a waiting list for that night. Nevertheless, the waiting staff was professional, fast and friendly as always. So nice to visit a restaurant where everybody remembers your name; even the owner came over to welcome us back.
There was a set menu for Valentine’s Day, and everyone who knows me, knows I am not a fan of set menus - but Weinkeller’s is the exception. The food was delicious and prepared perfectly. I had the beef barley soup to start and Boyfriend had the Caesar salad - all perfect. Everything is handmade here, from the soup to the salad dressing and croutons.
We then had the fried goat cheese (a Weinkeller classic - if you know, you know) and the oysters “4 ways”. Again flawless.
I had the surf and turf pasta as a main and Boyfriend had the filet mignon with fries. I love the pasta and really hope it becomes a regular menu item instead of the clams casino - which is good, but this was better.
Dessert was a cute, very sweet cake of which we could only manage a few bites unfortunately.
I really loved how everything was heart shaped for Valentine’s Day, such a nice attention to detail really makes a difference. From the crouton on my soup to the goat cheese to my ravioli & the dessert - hearts everywhere 💕
And also as childfree people - we really appreciate the childfree atmosphere of this restaurant.
We will be back as soon as we can… this is the best place to eat in my Boyfriend’s favorite town.

This is a great restaurant that serves great local produce well prepared and served efficiently. Local beers and wines supplement a wide ranging menu on a fixed price. The choice is good but not too wide that you find on lesser restaurants. Well worth the extra money.

We loved everything about this place. Warm ambience and decor, delicious food perfectly prepared to order, and impeccable service. Their unique fixed price menu allowed for the choice of one of five of entrees (each with multiple preparation options) and two or four other choices which could include any combination of local wine/beer, appetizer, soup, salad, or dessert. Our server, Dan, was friendly and knowledgeable. One member of our party has food allergies, and Dan took the time and effort to find out from the chef exactly which entrees and preparation options were possible for her. I did the 3 item option and my husband the 5. I had a glass of local Shiraz, the luscious squash soup. and the grilled pork chop entree. My husband had a glass of local beer, the house salad, the soup, the sirloin entree, and the chocolate wonton dessert (which he shared with me). Everything was well prepared exactly to order and beautifully presented. Beautiful dining experience, and a refreshing change from the predictable and overpriced options prevalent in this tourist area.

We really enjoyed our dinner. It has a prix fixe menu but you can use your items (3 or 5) across any of the categories, drink, appetizer, desert, etc. So it is like a puzzle (in a good way) to figure out how best to use them. The fried goat cheese is unique and very good. I also really liked the Tuna Crisps. We enjoyed the Charcuterie board and caesar salad. The lighting is dim in this step down restaurant making it feel cozy. There is parking in lots right outside and they will validate but you need to go in first and then go back out to pay for the validated parking.

Absolutely incredible dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was cozy, the cuisine was amazing, the wine was excellent, and the service was fantastic. Anyone who gives this place less than five stars should probably stick to the numerous mediocre buffets in Niagara.
Between the two of us, we shared the PEI oysters (x2), the chef’s special salad, mussels & fries, fried goat cheese, tomahawk pork chop, filet, dessert won tons, and cab franc. Every single element was perfect.
The way Weinkeller handles its menu is unique. It’s five courses, but that can be just about any combination of food and drinks on the menu. It works well, and it’s a great value for farm to table haute cuisine.
I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Six stars.

My wife and I had an excellent time at Weinkeller. We had early reservations as we were attending a concert so it was quiet when we arrived but packed when we left. The ambience was cozy with that wine cellar feel. We both had the fried goat cheese as an app and it was absolutely mouthwatering. My wife then had the mussels which were very plump and served with a delicious creamy broth while I had the oysters, all exquisite. For our entrees my wife had the tomahawk pork chop while I had the strip loin, both incredibly tender but the pork chop topped the steak. The staff were attentive, informative and friendly. Hats off to Kaleigh, Dan, Connor and all the staff. This will be our “go to” restaurant when we are in Niagara.

This was our first time trying Weinkeller, we have been to Niagara Falls many times and the food is usually Mediocre and over priced. We decided to try Weinkeller after seeing the reviews and wanting something a little more intimate. This place is AMAZING! The atmosphere, food and service were all top notch. Drinks A++, Food A++, Service A+++. We will definitely be returning whe we come back to Niagara Falls, and .hopefully that is really soon. Well done Weinkeller!

Amazing 5 course meal with the best cedar plank salmon my wife has ever had. And she eats a lot of salmon. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere dark and cozy, but the food really makes this place special. Without a doubt the best meal we’ve had in Niagara Falls and we have eaten at 6 or 7 of “the best” places here. Also, no sneaky 8% hidden fee charged at Prime and most of the other “fine dining” places in town.

Terrific atmosphere, just like an old cellar, below street level, wood beams, lovely ambience. Our server could not have been more helpful or pleasant. This place uses a pricing scheme I don't really like---five items for $85 (contrary to web site, there is no longer a three item possibility) and you have to pay for five even if you only want three or four. An item is an appetizer or glass of wine or entree, and so on. There are surcharges for a 9 oz glass of wine or the steak entree. Our entrees were very disappointing. The salmon was surprisingly small and extremely undercooked (the server volunteered to cook more); the pork chop was very overcooked (no remedy for this). Given the pricing and quality of food, we probably won't go back. This said, the
restaurant appears to be popular.

Great experience! This really was a fully customizable menu, which we enjoyed. Each of our five courses could be a main course and then any combination of appetizers, drinks, soups, salads, or desserts. Our server was charismatic and accommodating and really listened to what we liked to help us make choices. She said the filet special was ‘out of this world’ and she was right. Other highlights included the mussels, fried goat cheese, and wonton dessert.

Found this restaurant on Social Media and thought we would try it on visit to Niagara Falls. The service was excellent. Connor is very attentive to his clients. The food was also excellent. Hubby had the mushroom soup, tuna ceviche and coffee crusted bacon wrapped filet. I had the seasonal salad and the beef strip loin with the bacon jam and truffle fries. Both our meals were delicious. The time between courses was done well - not too rushed, nor too long.
The pricing worked well as we had a 3 item meal for $70 each which included my cocktail! Will definitely return and highly recommend it.
Didn’t give 5 stars as my hubby felt the room was too warm and the two premium tables are right by the front door entrance.

My husband and I were with another couple, friends who picked Weinkeller for dinner on Saturday August 27th, 2022 after a lovely afternoon of tasting wines in Beamsville. We were greeted by a jovial host and served by the lovely Ms. Kaleigh. Both gave us great tips, advice on our food and wine choices, and the host gave us a great history of the unique building and carved wood railway beams when we asked. Kaleigh was fun to chat with as well, and we could tell both took pride in their service. We enjoyed the candid "adult only" atmosphere, but the food was absolutely amazing! We shared appetizers among four of us, and I say the Fried Goats Cheese is a must and the Tuna Ceviche. The seasonal salad had the best tomatoes I've tasted all season. I enjoyed the Seafood Casino, tender perfectly cooked seafood with soft homemade gnocchi and a seasoned marinara sauce that was a perfect blend of spices. The rest lauded over their meat dishes. We shared Semifreddo and Cheesecake desserts, which were delicious. I raved about my meal at work today back in Toronto and hope anyone who travels to Niagara Falls for dinner tries this restaurant out! Thanks for the great experience!

Service is very friendly but the food was slightly disappointing. We had wine but the carafe was chipped, we wanted the oysters but they didn't have any so we had the beef carpaccio and the tuna ceviche. The panzanella salad on the carpaccio was just 2 handfuls of croutons however the micro greens were great. The beef was over done it was not raw as it should be and the tuna ceviche was more like a tuna adequate. The entrées were the pork chop and the Seafood Casino. Hum .. The pork chop was cooked very well and I opted for the apple cider reduction but the potato cake (I think that was what it was) was hard like a puck and I fear was not made that day but reheated. The seafood was good but the gnocchi was mushy and not very appealing. I like the concept and as a local was looking for a place we could go frequently but sadly our search continues as it was not seasonal by any stretch of the imagination. All heavy and as the restaurant got quite warm as the evening continued I think they need to consider a 'fresh' approach. We will go back in the fall but not in the heat of summer.

Weinkeller is one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time. Our server Berdine made our Anniversary such a special day with her insights into wine choices and meal selections. We did the 5 course meal and enjoyed everything that the chef prepared. The menu has many different options so all pallets will be pleased. The music and atmosphere made us feel so at ease and the wine was amazing. Definitely a must do dining experience and we wish there was one closer to home.

This place is special. The ambiance is nice, and the dinning room is comfortable, clean and dimly (the way I like it) lit with a fire place in the entry way. The bartender Kaylee (might be getting that slightly wrong) was also our server and handled my pain in the ass father with grace and wit. The place focuses on the wine menu but the cocktails were well done and up to par. If there is anything that this place could do better (and they absolutely don’t need to) or add to the menu. Is just a simple craft cocktail menu with well done examples of the classics to choose from. But they are knowledgeable enough to easily make you what you need and do it well.
They do 3 or 5 corse dinners and the menu is absolutely great too to bottom. I highly recommend the goat cheese, the oysters 4 ways and the fillet in coffee cream sauce. All over the top and very well done. I also got to try the tomahawk pork chop which was fire.
In an area surrounded on all sides by corporate, high volume, low quality food and drinks this place is a beacon of hope. And I honestly spent way less than I expected to for a meal and service of that quality. Go here!
