Good food and service, mostly. Had oysters and beer special before 6pm, they seem to know what they are doing. My wife’s meal was excellent, a big portion with lots of seafood. Mine had a big portion and lots of seafood too but was over seasoned (way to much salt). For us amateurs it happens, but not a pro chef. Service staff friendly and fairly fast, although one may have been a bit pushy. Love the concept, ambiance was good although we had kitchen staff coming going by us all the time (not a busy time so why put us there?). Lastly this is expensive, they could cut portions and price and would be top drawer. Will try again, hopefully no amateur moves next time.

It was our 2nd wedding anniversary and we wanted to go somewhere cute. I made reservations on the patio but soon realized it was cold and drizzling a little bit so I changed for inside and they were very accommodating. ESTABLISHMENT: 1. There were plenty of parking as it was situated in a plaza. 2. The restaurant was decorated very well. Super cute and felt cozy. The tables were socially distanced and there was just us and another couple dining in our side of the restaurant and we were far from each other. 3. The bar was in the middle of the restaurant and you can see all the fresh seafood on ice on display. Cute! 4. The patio was cute even though it was just in a parking lot in a plaza, they made it appealing and somewhat private! SERVICE: Our server was friendly, and knows when to check and not hovering over you which we loved. FOOD: 1. This place is not cheap. But it is also not extremely expensive. We know seafood is expensive. 2. We ordered the chowder and OMG delish! We shared one bowl of it and thought it was perfect for two as an appetizer. It was served with one piece of garlic bread. They didn’t cheap out on the seafood! It was 13$ and was well worth it! 3. We ordered the seafood tower to share. It comes with Ahi tuna, 6 oysters, 6 cold jumbo shrimp, crab legs and lobster. It was sooo good! My only complaint was it didn’t come in a tower but just in one plate with a bed of ice. Just disappointing as it was advertised as a tower and saw photos of it (not a big deal just slightly disappointing. 109$ and great for sharing. All the items were fresh! 4. We couldn’t get enough of the oysters and ordered a dozen. We got two kinds 6 of each kind. Our server recommended the redhead oysters and the lucky lime oysters and she was right they were fresh and super delish! 40$ for a dozen but well worth it. 5. Love all three of the homemade sauce, a oystershire, a hot sauce and a red sweet sauce! We didn’t order any alcohol as we did a full day of wine tour that day. And we had beaver tails before dinner so we didn’t order any desserts. Our bill with the tip was around 211$. For a special occasion I thought was great. Definitely waaaaay better food that you can get than in the falls area. The restaurant is a drive away from the falls (about 12 mins). Definitely will be back when we come back to Niagara area. 5/5 will recommend!

Rachael was our server. She recommended a great selection of oysters including staff favorites, fan favorites and her personal choice. We enjoyed a wonderful bottle of wine that she suggested. My husband had the lobster mac and cheese and I had the paella. Both dishes were wonderful and I know we'll be back again for the paella so I can try to replicate it at home. The décor and atmosphere were classy and comfortable. We truly felt like guests, not customers. Thank you, Tide and Vine and Rach!

We had read raving reviews on this place so we're expecting great food. The service was good and friendly, the atmosphere a bit drab (but I will forgive his due to Covid restrictions). However, we were there for he food. My hubby ordered their famous chowder. A very small cup was $9 and although it was full of seafood goodies, the taste was very bland. I ordered shrimp cocktail which was $15 for 5 large shrimp. They were served too cold in my opinion on a bed of ice. We decided to share the lobster roll (which got great reviews). We typically will share an entree as we are not big eaters but this was the smallest "sandwich " we have had in awhile. It was lobster, so know it is pricey, but it had no flavour at all. Maybe if served on a toasted roll with butter?? It came with a small potato salad which of everything had the best flavor... next to the beer. The lobster roll was $24. Overall very disappointing!

We enjoyed a lovely dinner here on a recent visit to Niagara Falls and were delighted with the atmosphere, service and food -- a relaxed and welcoming environment that makes you feel so valued from the minute you walk in the door. This team exudes excellence in 'customer service' and the menu echos the sentiment with offerings that are simply outstanding! There is so much to choose from from Gulf Shrimp Cocktail, Lobster Roll and of course a selection of Oysters. Everything is incredibly fresh, beautifully presented and leaves you wanting more. Eating in is a pleasure or order take out and enjoy an extraordinary meal while taking in some of the beautiful scenery in and around Niagara Falls.

4 guys dropped in after golf for an oyster and beer tasting. We sat outside on their large patio and were taken care of quickly by friendly wait staff. We ordered a round of Bench Session IPA (a Beamsville craft brew) draughts. The shucker came out and talked about their oysters so we decided on a dozen of each of their offerings - 3 from PEI and 1 from Nova Scotia. The oysters came out quickly and organized in such a manner that we knew which oyster we were eating so we could compare. They were delicious with varying degrees of saltiness. We returned the following evening and ordered a dozen each of the PEI oysters. Again they were delicious - fresh, firm and salty. We ordered another dozen of our favourite but also bowls of their seafood chowder. Absolutely the best with lots of meaty fish, shrimp and scallops.! We normally travel to Ocean City, Maryland, or Virginia Beach, Virginia, or Wilmington, North Carolina, or Hilton Head, South Carolina for golf and oysters and seafood. T & V had the best we have tasted - expensive but very high quality.

The Tide and Vine restaurant offers the best seafood in the city of Niagara Fall, Ontario. A variety of freshly shucked oysters are readily available. They will even make up a dish with a variety of oysters for you. The clam chowder is to die for!!! There are lots of other delicious seafoods on offer.

We were brought to this unique restaurant as the finishing stop to our wine tour which included dinner (Cellar Door). The food was out of this world with so much "fresh". The salad was very fresh and artfully arranged on the chilled plate. My husband had the seafood chowder which he is still raving about. The main course was delicious and almost too pretty to eat. And don't get me started on the desert.....again too pretty to eat and I did take more than 1/2 home because the portions were so generous.

The waiter was hard to understand because of mumbling. He would ask questions and walk away before we could answer. He took half our lunch order and left and when I called him back to order the rest, he said "ya I was gonna come back". When he would take an empty drink (that I paid $16 for) he would say "good job", like I was a child. For a lunch that I had to pay over $200 for, I left feeling angry and unhappy. Also, it was so cold, I had to wear my winter jacket for the majority of the seating. I think the price of the wine was crazy. I live in Niagara and dine out 4-6x a week. This is the most expensive place for wine that I have seen in a restaurant with a casual atmosphere. We had a dozen oysters that were good, but the 4 accompanying sauces were not great. The large bowl of clam chowder was good. The mixed seafood dish for my husband was ok and my grain salad was meh. Poor service, overpriced drinks, cold temperatures all outweighed the mediocre food. We wont be back.

We recently and had the Lobster Mac and Cheese among other things. Ironically, the best part about this is typically where other LMC's fall short - the amount of lobster. They actually give a fair amount. They should for charging $40 for this. It's not a very big serving, esp if you are sharing. Not for $40. Yes I know lobster is expensive. I also know that pasta is 4 cents. This is the type of LMC where you cant tell that the pasta is coated with anything. The cheese sauce is far from cheesy (bland) and coats the pasta, but only and seemingly for a second or two after you stir it, then disappears to where ever bland cheese goes to hide and die. Taste is meh. I made the grave error of ordering Buffalo Oysters. Grave error. Coating was really soggy. Tasted like eating farts. Id rather go through a painful divorce than try to eat these again. Brutal and overpriced. Not that eating farts has an optimal price point. They did give me something I didnt order - an average and tiny container with brussel sprouts and other average items all put together in a tiny container. The totality of all items together actually contained something special...just kidding. It didnt. It was average. Most of the staff was great except for one particular guy who was completely condescending and annoying. You could tell in one moment that not only was he not the owner, but he wasn't the manager - but he thought he was one or both of these things. Farts.

What can I say. This gem is in a parking lot, but they cleverly built quite a high wooden fence, so you actually don't even notice the lot. Our server, Angela, was fantastic. We ordered oysters (so fresh). Then clam dip with homemade kettle chips. We also ordered a lobster roll which was excellent but needed a tiny bit more seasoning and the fresh pasta with a skewer of shrimps and scallops. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you want freshness, taste and great service

I went to this restaurant for dinner alone. I started with a good cocktail. As starters I chose Kat's seafood chowder, it was delicious. I took 10 oysters and chose 4 sauces for taste. (The server didn't tell me the prices for the oysters and he decided to choose the most expensive in general by my lack of knowledge, which I appreciated less from my experience.) I finished with a dessert which was recommended to me, it was delicious at first and then I had a 5cm piece of parchment paper in my mouth. For $12 for dessert and finding that in it is ordinary and at the same time dangerous. The bill was salty and that's mostly because of the oysters. So if you decide to still go, ask to see the prices of oysters before because they will take the most expensive and you will be surprised when paying the bill.

This is the 1st review I’ve ever written. Being a business man I’ve had hundreds of not thousands of meals over my travelling career.. I took my wife here for our anniversary. 1st if there was heavy metal music being played in the background. Not something I relate to a Wine and Oyster bar. Utensils placed directly on table, not on napkins. Seeing it was our anniversary I splurged and ordered the scallop and pork appetizer at $34. 2, small Scallops burnt and overly salty. It included Some kind of pork appetizer that was cold and greasy. For the main course I ordered the Ahi Tuna salad and the Tuna was still partially frozen! The bed of salad the Tuna was on was nothing more than a pile of grated carrots, some sliced radish, and grated lettuce. My wife had the Artic Char, about 3 ounces and burnt. This was probably the worst meal we have ever had and at $179 plus 15% gratuity it was disappointing.

Wife and I have been auto touring Boston to Niagara Falls, having chowder and lobster each day. Kat’s Seafood chowder is by far IMO the best. It was almost solid seafood with a cream sauce. Menu says scallops, cold water shrimp, Canadian Atlantic lobster, clams, salmon, haddock. I don’t know if we’ll be back this way again but if we do we’ll go out of our way to come here. Btw even at 2-3pm Thursday was crowded indoors but had tables outside, so call ahead for reservation
