This restaurant was amazing!! We sat at the bar and were greeted by two amazing bartenders who were very attentive to our every need. He gave us a fantastic variety of local oysters to start that were excellent! Then we had the seafood tower which...was unreal! I wish this restaurant was in my backyard!More

First trip to Canada. We're visiting for the Niagara Half Marathon, saw this restaurant listed on Trip Advisor & thought we'd try it out. OMG...absolutely love the vibe!!! We didn't have a reservation, so we sat at the bar. The staff were friendly and so...much fun, the food was amazing! 100% completely satisfying dining experience. If we get the chance to visit Canada again, we will definitely dine here.More

Wandered into Tide and Vine at 4 pm and were delighted to be told about their Happy Hour oyster pricing. The food was great, the oysters were perfectly shucked and the service was professionally casual. If I have any suggestion, it would be their minionette...sauce would best be served with shallots in a small container as the crunch element was missing. We will be back.More

My husband and I had a reservation for lunch and enjoyed it so much that we returned for dinner. The oysters are wonderful! Available were 5 kinds from PEI and one from the West Coast. So, we ordered 2 of each. Our server explained the...way he had set them out on the ice and suggested a starting point for us to go round the plate and finish with the ones from the west coast which were in the centre of the plate. We did this. It is the first time I have tasted oysters from different locations and yes, they all did taste a bit different. The last ones were our least favourite. They are so completely different from PEI oysters, which I guess we are more used to since we live in Ontario. Next we shared 1/2 each of a lobster roll and the day's special po'boy which was an oyster po'boy. Each came with German potato salad which was really good. I had been looking forward to this lobster roll ever since I made the reservation and was surprised to find that I enjoyed the oyster po'boy more than the lobster roll. Both were good but the po'boy was exceptional in flavour. My husband tried the ginger beer and loved it. I had a glass of a local winery's Reisling and it was excellent. We just had to return for dinner. After all, we had to eat somewhere, right? At dinner we again had oysters. The west coast ones were gone which was okay with us and we had 2 each of the 5 kinds from PEI. They did provide 4 kinds of sauces plus grated fresh horseradish & lemon wedges and I found I liked the lemon with a bit of horseradish the best. We each had a cup of their seafood chowder which came lovely and hot and was delicious. I wish we had stopped at that but we asked to share the mussels and that was the only disappointing dish that day! The broth was way too salty. I am one who does like salt but this was way overboard. We have had mussels in many restaurants and these were just not as good as all others we've had and there were fewer mussels in the bowl than we've had at other places for the same price. That said, we were really pleased with our food that day and would return for sure next time we get to Niagara.More

Oysters, seafood deliciou along with all round fabulous service from Lindsay T. We visited here based on a family recommendation, the oysters were delicious and our mains delicious and fresh! Service was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, would heartily recommend for anyone to visit, local or...further afield. Ps an espresso machine would be a huge bonus as a great way to end such a great meal.More

We ate lunch at this restaurant A few days ago in September 2022. My wife had a lobster roll which was small and the lobster was chewier than normal. I ordered the seafood chowder which is a specialty of the house. It came warm, not...piping hot and was good but not exceptional in anyway. I ordered a side of halibut as they did not have catch of the day type meal for lunch, only dinner. It was small, but very fresh and a little overdone, but still nicely browned on the outside and still good. It seems strange that when we came in, the greeter wanted my first and last name as well as my phone number! It just seems odd, but maybe that’s the way they do things here in Canada. It was about $100 Canadian, but that did include one cocktail and one sparkling water. It may have been an off day for them.More

This is the 1st review I’ve ever written. Being a business man I’ve had hundreds of not thousands of meals over my travelling career.. I took my wife here for our anniversary. 1st if there was heavy metal music being played in the background. Not...something I relate to a Wine and Oyster bar. Utensils placed directly on table, not on napkins. Seeing it was our anniversary I splurged and ordered the scallop and pork appetizer at $34. 2, small Scallops burnt and overly salty. It included Some kind of pork appetizer that was cold and greasy. For the main course I ordered the Ahi Tuna salad and the Tuna was still partially frozen! The bed of salad the Tuna was on was nothing more than a pile of grated carrots, some sliced radish, and grated lettuce. My wife had the Artic Char, about 3 ounces and burnt. This was probably the worst meal we have ever had and at $179 plus 15% gratuity it was disappointing.More

Over priced. Food was good but doesn't justify prices. I don't find it professional to charge 3 families for a birthday cake slice. It was embarrassing as we all found out that we were all charged including the birthday lady.

I went to this restaurant for dinner alone. I started with a good cocktail. As starters I chose Kat's seafood chowder, it was delicious. I took 10 oysters and chose 4 sauces for taste. (The server didn't tell me the prices for the oysters and...he decided to choose the most expensive in general by my lack of knowledge, which I appreciated less from my experience.) I finished with a dessert which was recommended to me, it was delicious at first and then I had a 5cm piece of parchment paper in my mouth. For $12 for dessert and finding that in it is ordinary and at the same time dangerous. The bill was salty and that's mostly because of the oysters. So if you decide to still go, ask to see the prices of oysters before because they will take the most expensive and you will be surprised when paying the bill.More

We had the oysters. I love oysters. I never realized how great oysters could be. I've been eating them for over 20 years and never had any so perfectly cleaned and shucked. And incredible fresh horseradish. The hot salmon with a bagel was unique and...deliciouos. Likewise the seared tuna. Add to that the best olive oil cake we've ever had, and this was a perfect meal. And gracious, friendly, excellent service from the whole staff. My only problem is we live too far away to come often.More

My son's girlfriend chose this restaurant, me not being a big seafood fan agreed to it thinking I'd just order maybe a simple salad. Not seeing that on their menu I decided on the lobster roll and potato salad and my meal was Amazing! some...of the others had oysters and the fish of the day and really enjoyed their meals, as well. The food was great and our waitress was very sweet and really explained the menu items. When in Canada we hope to return to this restaurant!More

Wife and I have been auto touring Boston to Niagara Falls, having chowder and lobster each day. Kat’s Seafood chowder is by far IMO the best. It was almost solid seafood with a cream sauce. Menu says scallops, cold water shrimp, Canadian Atlantic lobster, clams,...salmon, haddock. I don’t know if we’ll be back this way again but if we do we’ll go out of our way to come here. Btw even at 2-3pm Thursday was crowded indoors but had tables outside, so call ahead for reservationMore
