I love lebanese style food, especially being able to wrap it all in a wonder pita - homemade...We chose a chicken and a beef bowl with all the regular fixings, humuus, red parsnip, rice, special sauce etc. Simply delish....

This restaurant had three staff on hand shortly after 11 AM when we arrived. One was preparing food and waiting on customers. One was at the cash register. And another one was sitting at a desk. My friend and I ordered food to go: "Sloppy...Moes" and a huge wrap. The service was great, and so was the food! We'll be back!More
We had some takeout from the shelbys on Horton Street in London,Ontario and it was truly amazing. Both dishes contained chicken, beef, homemade huumus, parsnips, a white sauce similar to tatziki ,rice and so much more. One was a bowl and the other a plate...with some amazing bread I have never seen before. It was paper thing and delicious. I like to put a bit of all in the bread and roll it like a wrap. We were so full and even though these were two meals, it fed 4 of us. The bread has a special name but cannot remember and I do not believe it is for sale in stores. Loved Shelby's and cannot wait to have it again...More
After 4 years as a loyal customer, I and several others have decided to unfortunately part ways with Shelby's. I knew it was going to happen one day, many Shawarma restaurants with growth aspirations like Shelby's had gone down the same path of quality loss...and eventual fall from a go-to place, to a chain-like convenience-only stop (names like Villa Madina, Osmow's, Pita Nutso, and Amir's in Montreal are a great example). I hoped Shelby's was going to be different, but they all seem to go down the same path. You guys had that laser sharp focus on quality and customer service that allowed you to grow from your food truck, but then it was evident that the focus shifted to dollar signs. It started with the Saj being fresh, chewy, and warm every order, to it being shipped in pre-baked. Then you took all your sauces from your “famous” poutine, and mixed them into one sauce. What attracted people to the poutine was the medley of visible sauces. Then, you guys went from your rectangle box that held an awesome portion, to a smaller round box, for the same price. That was when I knew things were going down-hill, because the owners started mutterings about multiple locations and franchising. Growth is great, but did you want to be a McDonald's, or a quality mom-and-pop with maybe two locations so that the focus on quality doesn't suffer? Well, the quality sure suffered. The straw that broke the camels back came with your recent change in the garlic sauce. Why fix something that wasn't broke? In fact you just broke it. You went from a creamy sauce that was so good, I often asked for extra. Now, you have this runny mess that has changed the feel of your dishes completely. Sad, but I saw all this coming. Tahini's did the same. For some reason, everybody wants to be a McDonald's and they forget what allowed them to grow so much in the first place. Quality and service. You lose that when you over-expand and hire too many new faces to help with the workload. I miss seeing all the familiar faces at the Horton location. Now, I get inconsistent food from new faces, while waiting much longer thanks to your new and “improved” setup. Wish you all the best, but time to say goodbye. I and many others have decided to take our weekly business elsewhere. Unfortunately, a lot of our feedback as loyal customers fell on deaf ears.More
This location gave us friendly service today & the food was better than the last trip in. but... PLEASE PUT FORKS & NAPKINS IN THE BAG. There is nothing like trying to eat a rice bowl with your fingers.
Did a pickup, great food, but first tried to order on line, which didn’t work, then called order in to pickup. Upon arrival no one could find order, so I finally went online and called in again. They said oh yeah we found it, so...back we went to front door. While the ordering ahead was a fiasco the food was amazing! Chicken shawarma tacos and a wrap.More
Have eaten in several times but mostly do take out. The restaurant is always clean and the staff friendly and helpful. It is always busy, a good sign! During the pandemic my husband, who is handicapped, has picked up on the way home from work...and with simply a phoned in request from the parking lot, a staff member has brought the food outside cheerfully. This kind of accessible friendly service is worth mention. The food is so flavourful and the quality is excellent and always consistent.More
save your money, dont come here. their customer service is appalling and their food is sub par. save your money and go elsewhere.
Been to shelbys a few times. The food it fresh and flavourful. Shelbys by far the best shawarmas in London.
Since Shelby's has branched out in London. The service has only gotten better along with the food. This is my wife and me go to a restaurant when we are needing a quick bite. We usually go to the one near Masonville. They are all...friendly, the service is quick and the food always tastes excellent. Thank you to the staff. My favorite Shawarma is the Mixed meat Tradition with a hot sauce. The Best Place in the city.More
