A recent dining experience for a party of 4 was in excess of $250 for dinner. The food was average and the menu lacking appetizing options. Unfortunately we will not return for that reason. The service however was excellent. I would rather spend that much money on an evening that's much more satisfying.

From their inventive menu items (I always love trying their Game of the Week entrees!), wonderful apps (Crispy Devil'd Eggs!) and classic go tos (Lamb Curry, Fish & Chips), to the amazing servers and great wine list, I highly recommend The Church Key. But remember to make a reservation!

Been here multiple times. Lamb curry, beef cheek pot roast, venison special... just some favourites. Didn't have a reservation for our last visit, but they squeezed us in with a time limit... lol!!! It was appreciated!!!

Im a vegetarian and reading the menu on tripadvisor, i was pleased with the options that were available. Arriving at the restaurant, the items I had planned to order weren't on the menu(s). Even a meat dish my partner wanted was no longer avail. The server was pleasant and apologetic but we left and went elsewhere.

I had the grill cheese and French onion soup. The soup was great. While the pub is small, it has great character.

I took work associates here, I had been before and already knew the menu was outstanding. What a great little hole in the wall next to a beautiful church. The menu was incredible!! Everything from a great traditional burger, to what I thought was the best steak I have had in a long time, ELK. I would highly recommend you... More

Had the burger and it was awesome! Super flavour. I had mine topped with aged cheddar but most get it with blue cheese.

It's very obvious by the selections on the menu that the chef is innovative. I was there for lunch and opted for the Reuben sandwich. The corned beef is cured and smoked in house and not sliced but seemingly pulled so you get big chunks with sweet braised cabbage. It was a tough decision looking at some of the other... More

Excellent beer selection. Daily specials. Friendly staff. Centrally located especially if you are going to the Cathedral or anyplace downtown. Lots if lamb.

Have been to the church key many times. While it can be a bit busy and noisy the food is usually very good, the menu inspired, and the staff very attentive. Due to the small size it can be a bit cramped at peak times but that is somewhat expected in the urban centres. The warm pretzel bread with grainy... More
