I attend the lunch time deli on a regular basis. The specials are always tasty and a good value. I usually order a soup to go as well. They are exceptionally good. Although the line-up can be intimidating, it goes pretty quickly. Staff are always friendly.

Wonderful soups, sandwiches, and prepared meals (e.g., lasagna). It's an institution of good reason. Thank you, Golden Rooster.

I go there with friends once or twice a month. Breakfast is excellent, the bacon is something you must try. It is thick cut, nothing like you have had before. The sandwiches are excellent. You can also buy meats and cheese there. Great selection. The place is clean. Only thing, you have to know how to order, no one will... More

We frequent the Golden Rooster due to their reliable food quality, fair prices, unique groceteria, and rare delicatessen experience. Although not unheard of, friendly service is not what we have come to expect. The food is genuine and not pretentious. Their daily specials are defnitely worth having, asparagus soup, and bratwurst on a pretzel bun are some of our favourites.

Excellent Danish food. Hot or cold! Great selection! Eat in or take out! Schnitzel excellent. Try Danish meatballs. Restaurant on Princess St. Parking in rear. Close to all shopping!

This place has been around for ever and is always a great place for lunch. Deli style sandwiches as well as all the other greats you would find in a deli. Soups and main dish's are always consistent, very good food and not bad as far as price.

Despite it always being busy at lunch hours, they get you through quick, with a smile and the food is amazing. Their roast pork sandwich is to die for, and they have the best spinach salad in town. I get together with friends there all the time.

Everything made to order. Good for soup and sandwich. Many families, lots of children. Clean. Servers need to smile. Sandwich was special of the day and very average. Good location to stop for lunch or meet people. The coffee was good. At lunch time you take a number to go through...interesting. Very impersonal. Would not go back.

This is the best deli I have ever been to, and I thought I had been to the best... Quick lunch service, great value and everything you would want for a lunch deli. This place has it all for an exceptional value. Seating is limited, so get there as early as possible if more than two persons for lunch. I... More

Came for lunch, after not being here for about a year. Under new ownership now, new faces but the food hasn't changed. It's still a great place to come and eat great tasting food. Great international food, service was fast and very organized.

Thank David B
