Oh my! Such a pleasure!

Staying with my daughter and SIL meant wondering where, in this small city of about 360 eateries, (I have heard it has more restaurants per capita than anywhere else in Canada) we should eat. We chose Thai and a new place for us that is about a twenty minute walk away - important. Kingston gets... read more

While in Kingston Christmas Shopping, we decided to take the advise of our daughter to try the Royal Angkor restaurant on Princess Street. This little "hole in the wall" restaurant is much more than it appeared. The food was excellent (especially the spring rolls) and the service was very friendly. To top it off, the portions were generous and the... More

easy to rave about the #1 and can't say I've tried anything else on the menu. I order it anytime I can catch them open. The hours of operation seem unreliable but I feel like I've hit the lottery when they pick up the phone. I will continue to recommend their food to everyone as it's on the top of... More

My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for 15 years. Back in the day, the dad and mom ran the place and the kids who now run it were raised in the restaurant. Quality has been consistent throughout, decor has been improved. Value is fair, food is quite tasty. Our 5 kids have fond memories of the... More

This was our favourite place as university students 10 years ago. I still come to eat here once in a while when we visit the city. The inside looks beautiful and has had a major facelift since we were in uni. Thanks again for a wonderful meal!

Savoury, complex, beautifully prepared. Some of the finest Cambodian around, and a jewel on the Kingston scene. Totally affordable and perfect for a low-key night out. Everything on the menu is worth exploring, and the flavours will blow you away.

This place was around the corner from where I was staying and I am so glad I managed to get her for dinner before I left. I ordered the golden chicken and the Cambodian rolls. Let me tell you both were delicious. The rolls were crispy with just the right amount of salt and meat. The chicken was succulent and... More

This was our first visit. Our waitress was Julia and she was great, Nice, polite, fast but never pushy. The spring rolls were the best we have ever eaten anywhere in the world. My wife loves Pad Thai but her favorite place was closed. We tried the Royal Angkor and it was better. Just be careful because the one pepper... More

Delicious food, low prices. The Royal Angkor is spicy, reasonably priced, and low key. The ower is the cook, waiter, cashier, and bartender, but he is good.
