Have always been a fan of Ethiopian cuisine so very happy to finally find this gem in Hamilton : - Authentic and tasty Ethiopian food - Prices are reasonable - Plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans - Coffee was excellent (We ordered the Machiato and Black coffee post our meal) They seemed a bit understaffed when we visited and... It's been a little while since I first visited this restaurant and the thing that still comes to mind is the Injera. I've had all kinds of bread and roti but this was something special. I had the vegetarian platter and I love, love that there are many vegan options on the menu. If the owners of this restaurant are... More

A friend and I stopped in for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is simple, humble and pleasant. The service was friendly and unobtrusive but the best part was the food. We shared a vegetarian combo platter and both my friend and I stuffed ourselves with the delicious sampling of 6 or 7 items on the plate scooped... More

An excellent meal. But man was it spicy! ! Every was fresh and delicious. When I asked if they could make something with less spice for my daughter they happily obliged. I tried my daughters chicken and it was fabulous. Try Wass for something different.

Our family loves the Wass. The food is a combination of many colours and tastes, spicy and not. It is economical for our family and it is our 'go to' restaurant! For those who are GF, ask for rice instead of injera.

Delicious food, neat to try with a group of people, good food for sharing, use your hands- so be prepared! The atmosphere is not the greatest but nice place to try!

My wife and I were looking for a "unique dining experience", therefore tried Wass; we invited the sister & brother-in-law as well. We had absolutely no idea what to expect but were pleasantly surprised when we saw the menu. When the food came to the table, it reminded us all of an "Indian Food" experience, where you are brought a... More

The lamb was tough, the pulses needed to be cooked more too. The injera was the worse I've ever had and the service bordering on hostility. I was the only person in the place, you'd think it'd be an honour to have me there.

never had Ethiopian food before so we gave it a try and I was really pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. We joked that the "bread" looked like rolled up towels but it tasted great, more like a cross between a pancake and an crepe. I tried the bubbling hot dip that came in the cast iron pot, it... More

Stew smelled good but I particularly didn't enjoy the taste. I usually like all type of food anywhere. But this one for some reason didn't click well with my stomach.
