The first server we had was excellent but got switched midway through the evening. The food was excellent from the sampler platter to Chinese food. Everyone in our party was happy with the dinner. One of those little old hidden gems.

It’s a Dive bar. But it’s a great place to have fun, play pool, sing karaoke, annndddd they have the best wings in town! They’re Chinese food is also good! Great food, cheap drinks, fun times.

Food was decent ..priced well... .we had the Philly Cheese Steak, and pork & rice & a couple beers ... Was only $30. ..pubs mostly Chinese food & appears to be filled with regulars a the bar ... was still a friendly environment, got to see & hear the Jays play ... bartender served us ..she was nice

Went here on a Saturday night after reading a review online about the karaoke night. needless to say, switching to a different venue ruined my one night of "fun" i get a week. We were one of the first tables seated... at 8:30pm, they started singing at 9pm, and by 11pm they still had not progressed to the second rotation. as people came in, they were added. In all the places I have been to, this was the worst. I feel bad for the poor girl waiting to sing as at least 1 hour of songs had been added in front of her name at the end of the rotation. We gave up and left. On top of that, the service was terrible. an entire room full of tables and no waitresses. The bartenders were extremely rude. Wont be back, ever.

The regular server is a big time racist. She doesn't tend to take orders from non Caucasian customers and makes faces all the time. She also called my personal belongings names. I highly recommend the owners to take care of this at the earliest.

I was here 2 weeks ago after work and the girl behind the bar turned the clock ahead so she didn't have to serve guys from my work.
I work at Toyota...we have money.
Tonight, the girl behind the bar(Tina) refused to start a tab so I didn't give her a tip. She did everything she could to not serve me. A girl at the bar offered to break a bottle over my head. I'll never go back to this bar unless ts a group of guys from work. I don't feel safe going to this bar alone.

pops and ruby's is a little hidden gem. best wings in town (yeah i know...)...tempura batter is very tasty and unlike any other places in town that bread etc, etc.

The bartender Brianne is very involved with clients I saw her going to the close hotel with a married client, he is a regular so maybe he was giving an extra tip to her.

I moved into the area about six months ago and this has become my local bar. I first arrived with a bunch of friends. i would say the place was barely a third full.
It took over 15 minutes before being noticed and being wing night the lady simply came by and said what wings do you like? on of our guests asks for menu and when she returned with menu and drinks we had to do airplane signals to get her attention.
We made note that i am a regular and hopefully she recognize me on my return as the 'regulars' seem to be getting refilled drinks without event asking.
Fast forward siz months, I have now been to this place at least 12 times and i essentially have to go alone. none of my friends are interested in coming back to this place to have to wait to be served or get a drink. we witnessed one patron who asked to see a menu who was pointed to a wall and told to grab one from the wall.
I really feel like i should feel privileged coming into this place as i never get good service and it seems like the same lady working is having a bad day EVERYDAY.
Good old saying... "Being nice doesn't cost but it sure as hell pays."
A little improvement on customer service and a few internal upgrades would really make this place amazing... its close to so many homes and right beside the hotel its embarrassing the service i have received.
the food is great and the price is on point... just service is worse than self serve.

I have tried the spring roll that being mentioned from previous review, they are delicious, also the dumplings were very good. We had chicken fingers and two big glass beer. For only 36 dollars, that is really decent price. Going back again for sure!

Was staying at the Sheraton next door for a wedding. The hotel bar closed early so we ended up here. I won't lie, we walking in and the place smells a bit off likely due to old carpet. However we had a great time here and actually enjoyed the food. We said oh well we can shoot some pool, have a beer, order some wings and if the foods terrible we'll just call for a pizza to our room. Quite the opposite happened, the wings were large, juicy and not stringy. We actually ordered again... twice... they were that good. I consider myself a bit of a foodie, and while it was certainly not gourmet, the food also didn't taste of stale batter or anything negative. Wings are a simple dish, but I'd say they were very good for a dive bar like this.
The bartender maybe manager found out that one of us in the crew was getting married the next day (this was not a bachelor party) she bought us all a round of shots. Very nice of her.
While food taste is certainly subjective, we noticed a lot of people calling in for the "Asian noodles" dish for delivery and the kitchen seemed busy. The place didn't make a good first impression but it seems the kitchen is in order.
If you are reading this at the Sheraton, may as well "pop" by and order some wings, it's not like it's pricey and you can always go home.

I've only been here once. I didn't eat, but the drinks were good, though the bar service was slow....and the karaoke was entertaining.
I'm not sure if it was just the time I was there, or if it's always like this...but I think there were 3 stalls in the women's washroom. The door on one stall was missing and the lock on another stall was broken. So on a busy night, only have 1 'usable' washroom could be an issue.
I'm willing to go back and try it again though.
