My two sisters and I recently enjoyed Afternoon Tea in the beautifully appointed restaurant at Langdon Hall. Service throughout was warm, attentive, and gracious. The 'tea' was comprised of two small but delectable scones, one buttermilk, one pumpkin with honey butter, locally made preserves and clotted cream. Then there were four mouth-watering savories of egg salad, quiche, Yorkshire pudding, and... More

My husband and I had dinner in the main dining hall which was absolutely stunning. The restaurant was lit perfectly making it feel romantic as we enjoyed our night in. The servers were wonderful with their friendly, attentive and timely service. It was great learning from them about the homegrown produce that was provided in each item on the menu.... More

Our visit was limited to experiencing High Tea at the first sitting on a Friday afternoon, so I cannot comment on the Spa or on the accommodations. Langdon Hall is old, not as grand as I had expected, although the grounds are lovely and the very attentive staff all wore convincing Colgate perma-smiles. The tea was located in a nice... More

You can just eat some snacks and have a cocktail on the patio. The surroundings in the woods makes it a great place to while away a late afternoon in the summer. The restaurant will always be top notch. But the ambiance is bucolic luxury. And the setting magnificent

Celebrated our 35th anniversary with dinner at Langdon Hall. What a wonderful evening: great food, great service in a spectacular setting. Table by the window overlooking the grounds. Breakfast the next morning was equally enjoyable. Definitely worth it for a special occasion.

Went here for my better halves 40th. We are vegan. The staff had no problems preparing the most delicious 4 course meal for us. Simple food done amazingly well, mmm. The grounds and building are so well maintained and absolutely gorgeous. As heavily tattooed people, we were made to feel awkward by some of the patrons there; even though we... More

This is a very beautiful facility, on the edge of the wilderness. I brought a bottle of fine wine in to the restaurant at 3:30 and requested it to be decanted. Arriving back for dinner after cocktails at 5:30 I was presented with a bottle not even yet open. When I advised it was to be decanted the server asked... More

From start to finish, this meal was spectacular. Amazing service, amazing plating, but most importantly, amazing food where you could taste the freshness of every ingredient. Even the cocktails were works of art, with the Caesar, for example, using smoked vodka. The amuse bouche, a plum stuffed with trout, was a symphony of flavours. Not one dish disappointed, and there... More

We attended a wedding at Langdon Hall. The staff were excellent and things ran quite smoothly. The servers did an excellent job. The wines selected were a VQA white that was quite enjoyable. The red was not VQA. But it was nice. We do like to sponsor our own. The dinner could have been better. the main, beef, was a... More

The history of this location is incredible. Too understand the wealth at the turn of the century and the travel patterns of those elite families fortunate enough to be who they were, is interesting. But then to be able to be part of their peaceful setting that they would have called home up to the late 1980's is a gift.... More
