Fantastic chicken wings. The Buffalo butter wings dusted are just as good as anything I've had in Buffalo. Deep fried pickles for the appetizer were great as well.

Was in the mood for prime rib and saw the reviews for the black bull and thought we would try it. I ordered my prime rib well done with mashed potatoes. When it was finally served (almost a hour later) my meat was raw.I sent it back and it was slightly re-cooked but not even close to we'll done. The... More

Be proud of yourself, Black Bull restaurant ... you are a charming and delicious little pub in the middle of one of the loveliest parts of Burlington! We were only in Burlington for the evening, but couldn't resist this place when we drove by by on our way to see autumn colors . So very glad we stopped in! He... More

The Bull is a wonderful place for casual dining. And the food has always been a 4+ in my experience. There's a salad they make, and if you ask for it with chicken, the chicken was cooked In-house with rosemary, and it's just stunning. Totally changes the flavour of the salad. I've been here with clients, wit family and alone.... More

We saw the weekend Prime Rib dinner advertised on line and thought we’d give it a try. The pub was very empty on a Sunday in early September. The Prime Rib meal was absolutely huge and cooked just the way we ordered it. The beef itself was about ½ inch thick and came with a full sized salad or soup,... More

Typical pub fare that was average at best but the poor service by an inattentive server was unacceptable. Our appetizer came at the end of our meal (I think our server forgot it), one order of wings came without sauce and drink refills were forgotten. Portions were good, but in today's marketplace you have to do better. The place was... More

My kids and I love breakfasts at the Black Bull. Not only is it delicious and affordable, the atmosphere and service make it feel like a truly home cooked meal.

A tired old, run down English style pub, with a selection of draft beer, but greasy food as was experienced with our fish and chips. Fries were cool and soggy with grease, with the fish texture less than "the catch of the day". Toilet was run down and in need of maintenance. Service was friendly and attentive, but the food...
