I have been here a couple of times and never had a disappointing experience. I have tried the quesadilla, chicken and Brie panini and the pear-licious wrap. I would definitely recommend any of them. The staff is very nice and the service was quick. All food is house made and they took extra care in making sure my allergy was... More

This restaurant is a hidden gem. It's small, but amazing. The staff is very helpful and the food is always fresh. My favourite thing bout the menu is that my meat eating boyfriend can order a delishious meal as well as myself who is a vegetarian.

We waited half an hour to be served. One of us went into the restaurant (we were on the sidewalk) to get served and were told it'd be a minute, but waited fifteen minutes after that. We would have left, but were too thirsty, hot, and tired. Eventually the sullen waitress came over to inform us that we might have... More

We were just passing through after camping further north for the past week. After staying the night, we decided to look for a place serving breakfast. Vegan options for each meal, would give it 5 stars if I could. We stumbled upon the Lazy Tulip Cafe, and were so glad we did. We had a seat outside, and were served... More

Very comfortable window dining or patio with many healthy food choices. Coffee was excellent and Michelle the owner was busy serving her guests. We really enjoyed our brunch and personal service she provided. Definitely would go back and try something else on the menu.

Nice ambiance, good food proportion and value for money. They were friendly but lack of service. Good enough.

I'll eat most anything but I went here with the fussiest eater I know, nothing gets ordered without 20 questions about what's in it, where it's from, etc. - it drives me crazy and if I had a restaurant, I'd kick him out. :-) The folks here however couldn't have been more accommodating, they answered every question with grace and... Thank you! We really try hard to accommodate people's dietary needs. And it seems that nowadays people are getting less tolerant to many things so we are very conscious of that in hopes that we can serve great food to almost anyone! Thank you for appreciating what we do.....and we do hope you will come back soon!! More

Description
We are a quaint, soulful, independently owned cafe in the heart of downtown Barrie with a focus on fresh and conscious eating.

Open seven days a week we offer a breakfast and lunch menu that strongly emphasizes vegetarian and gluten free options along with locally raised, free range chicken. Everything is made in house including our sandwich bread which is a whole wheat focaccia & our soups which are always made gluten free.

The Lazy Tulip vibe is worldly, spiritual & funky. Music is a big part of the atmosphere which ranges from Indian tablas to local musical talent to current faves.

We serve Planet Bean coffee, a small micro-roaster from Guelph and it's full flavored, fair trade and certified organic.
