We eat at this charming little restaurant just outside Stratford as often as we can. The food is always consistent - fresh, often local ingredients, the preparations are always elegant, up-to-date, letting the quality of the ingredients shine through. Local Great Lake fish is always super fresh and never overcooked. Service under Mary's direction is friendly yet professional - nothing... More

While we always make it a point to have dinner at Woolfy's when we're in Stratford, we so much enjoyed our visit on Tuesday that we went back again last night (Saturday). The food was excellent, service also. We've been visiting this fine restaurant for about 18 years now and it's the one in the area we wouldn't miss. Food... More

We had some really tasty dishes -- the aranciata were absolutely delicious (creamy on the inside, crispy on the outside); the pork tenderloin was tender and savory. But a lot of the food was just mediocre: the Mediterranean vegetable pie was OK but didn't have a lot of flavor. The ribeye steak was tender but very undercooked (I ordered it... More

Woolfy's presents locally grown foods in wonderfully imaginative ways. I had a Mediterranean pie that was a filo-dough shell filled with delicious vegetables. Lovely mango melon soup. The place is quiet and most of the clientele are older. Prices are high-ish but fair. In the very competitive upscsale restaurant scene of Stratford, this is one of the best.

Fantastic service and Chris is a wonderful cook. Also nice to be looking at the countryside while eating.

Woolfy's is always one of the highlights of our annual visit to Stratford. We live in Chicago and go to many fine restaurants there, but Woolfy's is our favorite restaurant in the world. Chris is a brilliant and creative chef who makes great use of local ingredients, and it would be hard to imagine a more convivial hostess than Mary.... More

I have been on 2 separate occasions. Each time the food has been very delicious, and very beautifully presented. I have had steak and home made fries. Local ingredients are used as much as possible. The chef does an outstanding job. Being so close to Stratford, Ontario, many of the diners are attending the Theatre after dining. The wait staff... More

Woolfy's in St. Mary's is our favorite restaurant to visit while we are in Stratford. It is about a 15 minute ride from Stratford. The food is fabulous, and the hospitality couldn't be better. The restaurant is comfortable, with a quiet, elegant ambience. Co-owner Mary Woolf is always on hand to welcome you and offer dining suggestions. We have never... More

This was our first visit to Woolfy's. My husband and I met our friends from Toronto who had dined there on a lunchtime but not on an evening before. I called to book on the Tuesday and the restaurant was closed as it was the day after Labor Day but I was called back that evening to book my table... More

We come to Stratford every year, stay a week, and see as many plays as possible. It is a long drive from St. Louis and we make the most of our visit! The first thing we do when we arrive in Stratford is make our reservation at Woolfy's, located about 15 minutes outside of town. We've eaten at the best,... More
