Rainy Halifax Saturday and we needed some shelter, food and old-fashioned hospitality. Got it in spades! We chose Beef and KidneyPie as well as the Irish Stew. Generous helpings, tasty meals and attentive staff. Don’t miss this downtown spot that has been around for years.

Lunch at The Old Triangle Irish Ale House is like stepping back into the old country itself. The decor, menu and friendly staff combine to create an authentic, enjoyable pub experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the Irish Stew and the Celtic Burger.

I've been coming here off and on for years for the convivial atmosphere, celtic-tinged music, and reliable Irish fare. It's easy to strike up a conversation with your fellow diners, but harder in the music area when the band's playing, but in general everyone is...More

Super tasty meals, great atmosphere, friendly waiter, and not overly priced. Interesting to know this Ale House was part of the Canadian Amazing Race back in 2015. Great place for families.

Located near the waterfront on Prince street this is a great location to get a bite to eat without fighting the crowds on the waterfront. Super service with a typical pub menu. The seafood chowder was excellent!

No, it would be impossible with a scooter. There are steps. They may have a patio in the summer, but the bathrooms would be a problem.
