Just stopped in for a bite on the patio during our walking tour of Halifax. The ploughman's lunch was quite good and so was the football club from the feedback my wife and niece provided. Service was also very good and in keeping with the warm hospitality we had come to expect in Nova Scotia.

We stumbled across this great Irish pub on our vacation. This place is friendly, and you'll make a friend. While I was there I made a friend from Louisiana. I'm definitely going back!

First time back in Halifax after more then 10 years and the triangle was just as I remembered it. Good Irish pub food. Great beer list (both local and international taps) and the love music. Try the chicken curry and chips. A great meal.

Nice Irish pub atmosphere. Friendly and helpful service. My husband really enjoyed the curry chicken and fries. The food was otherwise good, but nothing exceptional. I gave it a 4 based on my daughter and husbands feedback; but for me it was a 3 and no more. I used the online reservation system and they had no clue. It seemed... More

I recently visited The Old Triangle for the first time in several years. I was really disappointed as the first time I was there the food was great. Service was slow which and the place wasn't very busy. I ordered the Irish Stew, and for the price it is a pretty small bowl, and not very good. There prices seemed... More

We were visiting Halifax from Ontario and spent our last night in town at The Old Triangle Irish Ale House. We went for a late dinner and when we got into the restaurant, we were surprised to find it very crowded, for a Thursday. The barkeep found us a table on the main floor and told us we were in... The lady from maritime museum suggested Old Triangle so we thought it would be good. Oh my, we sat at the bar because we didn't want to wait for table. My dish was fish and chips and they were mostly think greasy bread with not much cod. I didn't even get tartar sauce with them, I have never gotten fish... More
