Had our first dinner in Halifax here, was recommended by a local. Hubby had an entire lobster and I had scallops....both were delish. Staff very friendly, great atmosphere.

I tried salmon there and like that. the do not have a variety of seafood. If I want to compare five fisherman with McKelvie's, the latter was very crowded and the taste of salmon was not good.

It is been over 25 years and the service is still as I remembered. Staff is more than accommodating, at the reception I had the chance to make my reservation in French and English. Camille is very professional in her work, simply outstanding. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Fabulous food and choices - appetizers, main courses and desserts. Service outstanding and special. This was among very best meals we had in our 19 days in Nova Scotia. Be sure to make a reservation for upstairs. The first floor is more pub style and there is an oyster happy hour early but upstairs is the best. The building is historical... More

We enjoyed a nice booth and an outstanding server. The appetizers were tasty. We had the tuna tartare which was a bit heavy on the sesame oil and oysters which were almost too small to enjoy. When I said something, they did bring us two extras. For our mains, we had the five fish, which was a nice combo of... More

Had a chance to go here for a late dinner with my wife and friends. Got there at 9:30pm and the kitchen was closing in 30 minutes. I think our meals and service reflected that late night on a Sunday. Seafood pasta was so so...Not impressed with the Oyster Rockefeller appetizer. I'm sure any other time would be great.

This building was a mortuary that handled some of the Titanic victims and today a very good restaurant. Supostivitly it is haunted but the atmosphere, history, and food are all good.

This restaurant came highly recommended and for good reason. The cup of Seafood chowder was terrific and almost enough for lunch but we shared a lobster salad as well. All really tasty. The chowder was a little salty but the fish and seafood in it was done to perfection. The salad was full of yummy bits to enjoy. Service was... More
