Went for a walk on the waterfront and OMG! the smell of the fish and chips cooking brought us to the little hut on the waterfront called the Battered Fish. The line up to order was 10 deep at least and that many waiting for their orders as well. The service was amazingly fast and the service was great. We... More

First time trying out the Battered Fish in the Halifax Shopping Centre food court - nice portion, tasty food and a nice option for fresh fast food. The fries were a little thin and the price was a tad on the high side - $9 for 1 piece of fish and fries with a bottle of water but I would... More

Imagine a place where you are served a thick cut, juicy portion of battered fish, with hand cut shoestring fries or alternate side, in a cute red and yellow box with amazing homemade tarter sauces and curry mayo! Simply the best! Scallops are incredible! They have various locations across Halifax, Sackville, Dartmouth and Bedford. They are now also in the... More

I ate at the battered fish at the Halifax shopping centre food court! What a great surprise, my mother, sister and I all agreed that it was one of the best meals we've ever had! Amazing fresh fish and French fries. I would definitely recommend the beer battered fish and chips!

In the land of fish and chips the Battered Fish is just okay. The thing I do not like about them the most is their small die cut fries. They are smaller than mcCain shoestring potatoes. I understand that they do this so that they cook faster but they also make things so much oilier. The fish was fresh but... More

I just ate at the battered fish in the Halifax shopping center and paid 20 bucks for a bottle of root beer 2 pieces of fish and a cup of seafood chowder. The food was very good but the portions were small. I am still a little hungry and I know I can get a much larger meal at my... More

Halifax is a place I go to bar-hop, so by the end of the night I can never really remember which bars we went to, and we drank, but I always remember to get some battered fish in me before I head out drinking. As I travel on a budget, I tend to avoid ordering entrees at the bars, so... More

Best sea food in the city. Always a line up on the Boardwalk waiting to be served. Try the fish bites and chips! awesome! Lots of tables and seating nearby on the Boardwalk.

I've reaten here many times and it's a typical take-out outlet that is quite busy at peak traffic times but is consistently good and reasonably priced. I'll keep coming back - when the weather is good so one can enjoy their lunch on the outside picnic tables.
