We stopped here for lunch while on a small group tour. My wife and I ordered 2 entrees - lobster roll and chips and fish (haddock) and chips. The 2nd entree, in paricular, was big - maybe enough for 2 people looking for a smaller meal. But we were hungry, and so we ordered both entrees...and finished both (although we... More

We used to love this place, and came whenever we could. That was a few years ago, before it sold. We had heard it had gone WAY downhill in the last while, but we were at a beach nearby and thought we'd reminisce. Big mistake. The menu was a fraction the size it used to be, and the prices almost... More

Off the beaten path, but worth the trip. Best restaurant I had the opportunity to eat at during trip to Nova Scotia. Lots of Rock bands, and other celebrities eat here because they can get marvelous food and be out of the public eye.

Paul- owner of Halifax Tours brought us here for a great lunch. The lobster roll was large and filled with big chunks of meat- no fillers. Well worth the price! Hubby had the famous fish and chips. The one piece of haddock did fill up the entire plate. It was lightly breaded and very tasty. The only down side was... More

We ate here at the end of our Halifax titanic historical tour. We loved it! Paul asked us if we wanted to eat here. We were ushered upstairs and ate with our small group. The service was great. My husband had the fish and chips. The piece of fish was huge. The breeding was light and wonderful. He didn't finish... More

They have the best fish and chips in the whole area, but I can't see them flourishing or even surviving with there cash only policy. Great food isn't enough, to succeed it takes good management as well.

We came here for lunch as part of our city tour, and really enjoyed their pan fried haddock. It was a huge pice, the same as my friends fish and chips, we both took home some. The coleslaw and fries were great too. The service was a bit disorganized, the server forgot a couple requests, we asked for take home... More

I have never seen a more disorganized restaurant! Our order along with the one next to us was all screwed up. I have a suggestion, write down the order, that eat you don't miss items that are ordered and people get what they asked for,
