Tonight's dinner for our group, was specially prepared by Chef Mark. His choices were sensory to the palette, each of them. Our group couldn't believe the service and attention they received and how delectable the whole menu for the evening was. Thank you Chef Mark, Karen, Sylvan and all the staff . Our guests will leave Antigonish with wonderful memories... More

We were two couples for lunch. Fish chowder was the tastiest we've had during our visit to Nova Scotia. Lobster and crab croissant sandwich also was exceptional. Good wine selection. Service was prompt and friendly even though the restaurant was busy

Went here with my Husband for our wedding anniversary and the gentleman that waited on us was less than a cordial fellow. The snide comments made myself and my partner shocked coming from one of the upscale restaurants in town. Would not recommend this restaurant to ANY younger couples (late 20s early 30s). Will not be returning.

We ended up at Gabieau's after looking for the Townhouse Brewpub which was closed until 4. The meter near Townhouse took our CAD, but gave us no time. Parking was free behind the Post Office just across from Gabrieau's. My Cobb Salad was a masterpiece and my husband enjoyed his Ruben. This is one of our favorite stops when heading... More

A surprisingly creative menu one would more likely find in a big or trendy City then where it is. I enjoyed my special pasta of the day while my spouse disliked the salad she ordered. She did agree that her expectations might have not matched the description of the salad on the menu. But overall there is enough for all... More

This restaurant is a little out of character for this college town. Gourmet food, as well as sushi, combined with an impressive wine list. Prices are a little on the high side but reasonable. My guess is that they aren't targeting the student population in town.

Made a reservation and ordered scallops for salad rather than shrimp. They upcharged as they said their small scallops cost more than jumbo shrimp. Not true. Lemon tarte for dessert was outstanding. However, we were treated by staff as if we should be honored that they were serving us. They did not smile and as we left did not deign... More

Appetizers were excellent. I had the bruschetta and my husband had the duck and lamb pate. Excellent presentation and flavour. For entree my husband had seared sea scallop with risotto and I had chicken supreme with risotto. Risotto is always a chancy proposition but was excellent on both accounts. Chicken was very tender. Overall a very good meal and we... More

The atmosphere in this restaurant is lovely, inside and out, the food is quite good, unfortunately the last couple of visits we have had the same server. He is rude and seemed to be looking down his nose at us. We really enjoy going out to dine. We didn't enjoy his attitude.

Stopped for lunch with my husband and daughter. Service was great. Food was even better. Shrimp tacos and Caesar salad was delicious. House made dressing on the salad. Fresh house salsa on the tacos. Shrimp was not overcooked and had a wonderful flavor. Special was the lobster and crap salad on a croissant. So much fresh seafood on the sandwich.... More
