Let's start last. The desert was a decadent heart stopping home made brownie. Unbelievable. Lunch itself was pretty good too. My wife says she had the best Reuben ever. My egg wrap tasted good but alas concealed a toothpick that I almost swallowed. Still, I enjoyed lunch. The decor is quirky. The prices very reasonable. Be sure to stop in... More

Whether you want a quick lunch or a delicious coffee, you should stop here and enjoy. Situated on historic Dock Street, this little café is a local favourite. Come by and taste the freshly baked cookies in the morning or grab a coffee and pose for a selfie in the Big Red Chair outside. There are also some charming items... More

We stopped in here a few times during our stay near Shelburne. The coffee was good. There was a good selection of delicious home baked sweets. We also enjoyed their sandwiches for lunch one day. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed.

This is a nice spot for a light and healthy lunch. Salads, wraps and local seafood and dishes are always fresh and prepared to order. And be sure to grab a fresh baked cookie or square to go for a nice afternoon snack. Everything is made on the premises and is super fresh and delicious.

An interesting eating place in an old building right on the waterfront. Good fresh food served in a variety of small rooms. The fresh scallops were delicious. There are outside tables too. Washroom is on the snug side.

This small cafe and restaurant is located in a historic old building on the waterfront. Cookies and goodies appeared to house baked but I had a very tasty omelet. The coffee wasn't bad for Nova Scotia.

We enjoyed a cafe latte on a swing under a tree on a beautiful day. Lots of tempting baked goodies. We came back a second time and had grilled Ruben sandwiches.

Wonderful place to grab a coffee before you wander along the waterfront. Their cookies and other baked goods are also delicious - get a variety so you can share. We normally take our coffee and treats to go, but on a rainy day it's also a good spot to sit inside and chat. Very cosy, with great service.

Travelling between Lunenburg & Yarmouth stopped for dinner in Shelbourne. The town is historic and has a great waterfront to walk. The Beandock is located in an old house on the waterfront. (Look for the big red chair) The 1 person staff was friendly, helpful, and prepared 2 nice meals. Yes I would go there again.
