I have to be honest, my ratings is merely based on the exceptional service we received. Me and my wife visited the Metamorphis and from the moment we set foot in the beautiful garden, employees were eager to assist. It was not a warm day out and one of the waiters even went as far to offer my wife a... More

It started off with a phone call to the Bistro - a call which was answered by Lettie. When I asked her if I need to book, she asked me to get to the point because she was very busy with service!!! terribly rude and obnoxious. Eventually I was told that because it was just two of us, we would... More

As we were a large group we ordered the tapas menu. Although there was a relatively good selection of foods there did not seem to be any move on the part of the establishment to replenish the more popular items as they ran out (most especially the calamari and haloumi). The setting is quite nice (although next to the main... More

The restaurant has a great atmosphere with exceptional staff. The menu has a broad range and at first thought, you wonder how they get Tiger Prawns from Buenos Aires to Wakkerstroom!!! The presentation of the food matches the taste - world class! I could not recommend a better restaurant than this gem in Wakkerstroom.

The tapas were only served during lunch, not dinner. Kids not welcome. Service average, staff friendly. Owners interested and friendly. Best option in Wakkerstroom.

We were a weary lot, but starving. This was one of the best meals we had in 20 days. Great wine and I had a perfectly cooked steak. Even the vegetarian loved her meal, but I do not recall what it was. It may have been some kind of crepe. From what I understand from locals, this is a consistantly... More

I have mixed feelings and not sure how to completely review this restaurant. I popped in to book a table and Thandi was very pleasant and helpful, dressed in a white "chef's coat" as all the staff are, so felt like a good omen. When we did arrive the room was cosy with a fire blazing and we found corner... More

Wakkerstroom is not a big town. Much of it isn't really open for business during the week. But the weekend is worth waiting for. Booking here is essential if there is any sort of weekend event on. The premises double as a gallery with some excellent art. And the food? The menu is interesting. The caldo verde was excellent. My... More

The service was very slow and the menu comprised of Tapas. Admittedly the little town was heaving because of the Music Festival, but the experience was disappointing
